What if life's toughest challenges were actually the keys to unlocking your most profound spiritual growth? Join us on a journey inspired by Romans chapter 5 and 2 Corinthians chapter 4, where we explore the idea that tribulations aren't just obstacles but are essential employees in the production of an "eternal weight of glory." Much like the refining of oil and gold, these trials act as catalysts, helping us cultivate patience, perseverance, and ultimately, a deeper connection with God's glory within us.

Throughout this episode, we draw powerful parallels between the refinement process of natural elements and our personal growth through adversity. By embracing life's afflictions, much like heat and pressure purify crude oil into valuable products, we can transform our character. We also dive into the importance of respecting authority and how enduring trials leads to a trustworthy, Christ-like nature. Through personal anecdotes and biblical references, we emphasize the journey from spiritual infancy to leadership, illustrating how proven character is foundational to standing firm in faith and mission.

As we look to figures like Jesus, Abraham, and Elijah, this discussion unfolds the transformative power of faith and character in building hope and embodying God's glory. True faith transcends personal gain, focusing on outcomes that lead others to believe in God's miracles. By aligning ourselves with His will and trusting in His love, we become vessels for His divine purpose. Through perseverance and unwavering faith, we discover how to act as co-laborers with God, building His kingdom and living a life intertwined with and indwelt by Christ. Join us in uncovering how these principles guide us toward spiritual maturity and a life of divine purpose.

00:00:00.461 --> 00:00:02.225
Well, praise God, hallelujah.

00:00:02.225 --> 00:00:06.394
Let's turn to Romans, the fifth chapter I want to talk about today.

00:00:06.394 --> 00:00:15.721
We've been talking about how tribulations and afflictions work for us and the purpose of that work.

00:00:15.721 --> 00:00:26.935
According to 2 Corinthians, chapter 4, the purpose of that working is to produce a product.

00:00:26.935 --> 00:00:33.287
We have said that we are the employers, tribulations are our employees.

00:00:33.287 --> 00:00:38.012
But we need to make a product, or else you're just working to work.

00:00:38.012 --> 00:00:47.435
You make a product and that product the Bible says is an eternal weight of glory, amen.

00:00:47.435 --> 00:01:00.133
But if in many companies, okay, when you're making a product you have something, you have some other things that get made.

00:01:00.133 --> 00:01:05.551
An example that came to mind was in the refining of oil.

00:01:05.551 --> 00:01:39.284
When oil comes to a refinery, it comes in its crude form and as it goes through the refining process, as it moves up the refracting and refining tower at various levels, what are called byproducts are taken out, because the ultimate products that are going to be made out of oil are gasoline, and the higher octane gasolines are the ones that come even higher in the stack.

00:01:39.284 --> 00:01:48.956
So airplane fuel and that sort of stuff is the most volatile and purest product.

00:01:48.956 --> 00:01:58.721
Okay, as you go down the stack, you know you get kerosene, you get the tar that makes up asphalt you get.

00:01:58.721 --> 00:02:04.891
You know all the stuff that comes out of the oil, because the oil is broken into different kinds of hydrocarbons.

00:02:04.891 --> 00:02:05.834
You understand what I'm saying.

00:02:05.834 --> 00:02:14.319
They could just go in and make airplane fuel and throw everything away, hello.

00:02:14.319 --> 00:02:19.733
But most of the oil that gets refined you know what it produces?

00:02:19.733 --> 00:02:30.854
Shingles for roofs, because that's the crudest form of oil Down at the bottom.

00:02:30.854 --> 00:02:38.491
It's the heaviest, it's the most dense, it's the thickest, it's the gooeyest.

00:02:38.491 --> 00:02:39.713
What do you need for a roof?

00:02:39.713 --> 00:02:43.128
You need thick, gooey, heavy.

00:02:43.128 --> 00:02:45.594
Is anybody listening to me?

00:02:45.594 --> 00:02:50.719
I'm sorry, praise the Lord, amen.

00:02:50.719 --> 00:02:58.689
So in this process of producing glory, there are byproducts.

00:02:58.689 --> 00:03:01.993
Amen, there are byproducts.

00:03:01.993 --> 00:03:07.765
Amen, there are byproducts Today.

00:03:07.765 --> 00:03:08.930
We're going to study about that.

00:03:08.930 --> 00:03:11.348
We're going to study what those byproducts are.

00:03:11.348 --> 00:03:12.622
Praise God.

00:03:12.622 --> 00:03:13.346
So here we are.

00:03:13.346 --> 00:03:15.762
Do you need?

00:03:15.762 --> 00:03:19.909
I just had my glasses and now I can almost go.

00:03:19.909 --> 00:03:22.889
I'm sorry, I'm real sorry for disturbing.

00:03:22.889 --> 00:03:28.764
Well, just go ahead and get them, praise the Lord.

00:03:28.764 --> 00:03:37.384
Let's go to the fifth chapter of the book of Romans, hallelujah.

00:03:37.384 --> 00:03:54.150
It says in the second verse that we stand in a faith and a grace and we rejoice in the glory of God, now, in the hope of the glory of God.

00:03:54.150 --> 00:03:56.961
Now is not the glory, the product?

00:03:56.961 --> 00:03:59.248
Okay.

00:03:59.248 --> 00:04:02.429
So we are standing in the product.

00:04:02.429 --> 00:04:06.673
We are standing among the product.

00:04:06.673 --> 00:04:09.503
We are standing among the product as the producers of the product.

00:04:09.503 --> 00:04:10.426
We're right there.

00:04:10.426 --> 00:04:18.165
We're not a remote operator or remote employer.

00:04:18.165 --> 00:04:21.262
We're right there in the middle of the product.

00:04:21.262 --> 00:04:25.225
We are standing in the glory.

00:04:25.225 --> 00:04:26.954
Everybody say standing in the glory.

00:04:26.954 --> 00:04:28.079
Everybody say standing in the glory.

00:04:28.939 --> 00:04:41.887
Now, when you come into this relationship with the Lord of grace by faith, amen, the purpose of it, let me I just want to be real upfront.

00:04:41.887 --> 00:04:44.471
The purpose of it is not to go to heaven.

00:04:44.471 --> 00:04:48.762
The purpose of it is to produce glory.

00:04:48.762 --> 00:04:58.901
It never says in your Bible that the purpose of grace by faith is so that you can go to heaven.

00:04:58.901 --> 00:05:01.165
It never says that.

00:05:01.165 --> 00:05:12.932
But it clearly says right here that the purpose of the operation of grace by faith in your life is so that you can produce glory and stand in it.

00:05:12.932 --> 00:05:17.786
Just think of yourself as a fountain of glory.

00:05:17.786 --> 00:05:23.766
You're just standing there and the glory is just flowing out of you and you're standing in the middle of it.

00:05:23.766 --> 00:05:26.112
That's exactly the image right here.

00:05:26.112 --> 00:05:29.889
You can say, well, that's just too fanciful.

00:05:29.889 --> 00:05:31.165
Well, that's what it says.

00:05:31.165 --> 00:05:51.526
You can make out of it, whatever you want to make out of it, but it says that that faith and grace work together, amen, what you believe, and the power of God that's working in you, those things work together to produce glory and you are standing in it.

00:05:51.526 --> 00:05:58.446
So if you're standing in it and afflictions come, what are they going to do to you?

00:05:58.446 --> 00:06:01.572
They have to just, you know, kind of come and go.

00:06:01.572 --> 00:06:03.826
Come and go, which is exactly what Paul said.

00:06:03.826 --> 00:06:15.233
These light and momentary afflictions are not to be compared with the eternal weight of glory that is working for us, hallelujah.

00:06:15.233 --> 00:06:19.365
Now here goes.

00:06:19.365 --> 00:06:26.125
What Paul says is the refining stack of glory.

00:06:26.125 --> 00:06:30.966
You take glory and look at it, and you can do that because you're standing right in the middle of it.

00:06:30.966 --> 00:06:32.932
You can examine it.

00:06:32.932 --> 00:06:42.423
I'm trying to teach you something that is deeper than what most people want to teach you, and it's deep only because you have never heard it again before.

00:06:42.423 --> 00:06:43.646
Amen.

00:06:43.925 --> 00:06:49.093
We are commanded in 2 Corinthians 4, verse 6,.

00:06:49.093 --> 00:07:06.815
It says that for God, who caused the light to shine into darkness, has now shown in our hearts so as to beam forth the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

00:07:06.815 --> 00:07:13.946
We are to be vessels that not only flow out the glory.

00:07:13.946 --> 00:07:15.831
But we know what it is.

00:07:15.831 --> 00:07:18.591
It's a knowledge of the glory.

00:07:18.591 --> 00:07:21.223
It's not the knowledge that God has glory.

00:07:21.223 --> 00:07:22.487
You can read that.

00:07:22.487 --> 00:07:25.980
I mean, just read the Christmas story, and you'll figure that one out.

00:07:26.562 --> 00:07:31.572
Amen, that the angel showed up in all of this glory, amen.

00:07:31.572 --> 00:07:32.853
Well, what's glory?

00:07:32.853 --> 00:07:39.673
Well, it has shine, it has substance, it has weight, and no wonder the shepherds fell down on their faces.

00:07:39.673 --> 00:07:43.386
Amen, it just is amazing.

00:07:43.386 --> 00:07:44.509
So it's not.

00:07:44.509 --> 00:07:48.865
You know, when God appeared on Sinai, all kinds of glory showed up.

00:07:48.944 --> 00:07:52.312
So this isn't, it's not about a knowledge that God has glory.

00:07:52.312 --> 00:07:58.490
It's a knowledge of the glory that God has emanating out of you.

00:07:58.490 --> 00:07:59.853
How does it work?

00:07:59.853 --> 00:08:01.802
What is it made up of?

00:08:01.802 --> 00:08:03.404
What does it do?

00:08:03.404 --> 00:08:05.528
How do we use it?

00:08:05.528 --> 00:08:09.634
Amen, glory to God.

00:08:09.634 --> 00:08:24.048
Because if we're standing in it and we don't know what to do with it, you know what God's going to do He'll turn off the spigot, or at least turn it down some.

00:08:24.048 --> 00:08:34.567
I mean, he's still committed to His Word that if you have faith and let grace work through you, that your life will produce glory.

00:08:34.567 --> 00:08:43.289
But the quantity of glory that God's going to permit you to have is going to be dependent on how well, you know how to operate in it.

00:08:46.886 --> 00:09:03.149
I am convinced that this is one of the first things that the enemy stole out of the first century church was the knowledge of how to operate in the glory, because as long as they knew how to operate in the glory, there wasn't anything.

00:09:03.149 --> 00:09:09.163
They couldn't do Nothing.

00:09:09.163 --> 00:09:16.547
Even if they killed them, even if they took their physical life away, they couldn't kill them and they knew that.

00:09:16.547 --> 00:09:28.240
I mean, there's just testimony after testimony after testimony after testimony of people being martyred and not even crying out.

00:09:28.240 --> 00:09:39.551
You know, as they were being fried to death, they weren't even crying out or making a sound Hallelujah, praise the Lord.

00:09:39.551 --> 00:10:03.365
So by the time we get to verse 3, it says that not only are we standing in the glory, but we're also glorying or rejoicing in the fact that tribulations are coming, because what are they going to do If tribulations come?

00:10:03.365 --> 00:10:05.289
They work for us.

00:10:07.341 --> 00:10:20.168
Just look at it this way If the oil refinery is working, there's going to be a heat applied to the oil to cause it to rise.

00:10:20.168 --> 00:10:24.879
As it rises because of its weight, it will begin to separate.

00:10:24.879 --> 00:10:27.923
As it rises because of its weight, it will begin to separate.

00:10:27.923 --> 00:10:28.765
Okay, are we?

00:10:28.765 --> 00:10:30.849
Does anybody understand this stuff about oil.

00:10:30.849 --> 00:10:42.398
I mean, oil is made up of various kinds of hydrocarbons come out of the earth and as its heat is applied to it, it starts to bubble up and the heavy stuff falls.

00:10:42.398 --> 00:10:43.839
That's what makes shingles.

00:10:43.839 --> 00:10:49.447
And then it you know kerosene and all the you know stuff, that, and finally it's gasoline at the top.

00:10:49.447 --> 00:10:54.186
Okay, the the higher rises, the more expensive the product.

00:10:54.186 --> 00:10:58.389
Oh, that's a good, that's a good one right there, hallelujah.

00:10:58.389 --> 00:11:04.764
But there's something that if you just put the oil in down at the bottom, nothing's going to happen.

00:11:04.764 --> 00:11:12.730
It's just sit there like a gooey mess until something happens.

00:11:12.730 --> 00:11:14.524
What's to happen?

00:11:14.524 --> 00:11:19.908
Electricity is going to come in and fire up those burners.

00:11:19.908 --> 00:11:23.490
Can you imagine what the electric bill is for a refinery?

00:11:23.490 --> 00:11:32.729
My goodness, they're going to come in and fire up those burners, amen, and cause that stuff to start rising.

00:11:32.729 --> 00:11:37.471
Well, in this case, afflictions are the same as electricity.

00:11:37.471 --> 00:11:52.640
They have to come in and get the refining process jump-started and continue to apply heat and cause the product to rise in its purity.

00:11:54.567 --> 00:11:58.386
The same thing happens when you purify gold Amen.

00:11:58.386 --> 00:12:06.186
You can have gold in a lump and it looks real nice, it's shiny, it's golden color, it feels real good when you pick it up.

00:12:06.186 --> 00:12:08.201
If you pick up a hump of gold, you go.

00:12:08.201 --> 00:12:09.625
I've never had that much, it's fun.

00:12:09.625 --> 00:12:21.302
But if it's impure and you want to make it pure, there's no amount of holding it that's going to do that.

00:12:21.302 --> 00:12:25.801
There's no amount of hanging on to it that's going to make it more pure.

00:12:25.801 --> 00:12:29.940
I mean, there's only one thing that's going to purify it and that's heat.

00:12:29.940 --> 00:12:42.703
And the heat has to come from the outside to raise the temperature so that the impurities float up to the top and that which remains is more pure.

00:12:42.703 --> 00:12:46.158
That has to be done several times.

00:12:46.158 --> 00:12:52.298
Let it cool, heat it up again, more impurities so that finally, as the goldsmith says.

00:12:52.298 --> 00:12:55.408
Somebody asked him how do you know when it's pure?

00:12:55.408 --> 00:13:02.712
He said when the gold begins to glow, hallelujah.

00:13:02.995 --> 00:13:04.130
But what is the?

00:13:04.130 --> 00:13:07.158
If we're using this example for tribulations and glory?

00:13:07.158 --> 00:13:08.591
What is the heat?

00:13:08.591 --> 00:13:12.062
Those are the tribulations, those are the afflictions.

00:13:12.062 --> 00:13:14.999
If you don't apply the heat, what's going to happen?

00:13:14.999 --> 00:13:17.874
What's going to happen?

00:13:17.874 --> 00:13:21.599
If you don't apply the heat, nothing, nothing's going to happen.

00:13:21.599 --> 00:13:23.169
If you don't apply the heat, nothing, nothing's going to happen.

00:13:23.169 --> 00:13:43.803
That's why afflictions are necessary and that's why they're your employees, because they are actually working for you, because there's something about all of this that God has designed, that he has designed this life as a purification process.

00:13:49.335 --> 00:13:49.936
Are you with me?

00:13:49.936 --> 00:13:51.078
You may not like that.

00:13:51.078 --> 00:13:59.240
You may wish that as soon as you got saved you just went from zero to a hundred and skipped the purification process.

00:13:59.240 --> 00:14:19.693
I guarantee you that the gasoline probably wishes it didn't have to go from, you know, asbestos or whatever that asphalt and roof material, and through kerosene and through all the other stuff up to the top of the tower, probably just wishes it could jump out of the barrel and be gasoline.

00:14:19.693 --> 00:14:28.605
Save all that heat, save all that rising, save all that friction, save all that you know.

00:14:28.605 --> 00:14:36.629
But that's not how it works.

00:14:36.629 --> 00:14:40.779
You know we all wish it was easier, but it's not, because this is how God has designed it to be.

00:14:44.712 --> 00:14:46.446
And the vision of a diamond.

00:14:46.446 --> 00:14:46.869
And it has to tumble.

00:14:46.869 --> 00:14:48.897
Yeah, it has to tumble to start shining.

00:14:48.897 --> 00:14:50.445
That's right.

00:14:50.445 --> 00:14:52.657
I mean you take a diamond out of the ground.

00:14:52.657 --> 00:14:54.794
It doesn't look too great.

00:14:54.794 --> 00:14:57.876
You know all that stuff has to be.

00:14:57.876 --> 00:15:03.902
You know it doesn't start to look like much of anything until it's begun to be cut.

00:15:03.902 --> 00:15:10.842
And I mean you know how much wasted diamond there is to cut.

00:15:10.842 --> 00:15:14.477
Well, they just don't throw that stuff away.

00:15:14.477 --> 00:15:16.817
They make byproducts.

00:15:16.817 --> 00:15:23.263
All that little shiny stuff that you got in watches, it's all byproduct.

00:15:23.263 --> 00:15:25.214
Somebody help me here.

00:15:26.216 --> 00:15:29.544
Glory to God, hallelujah.

00:15:29.544 --> 00:15:40.499
So we're going to glory, we're going to rejoice that these tribulations come, even though if they're not fun and they're not pleasant and it's the worst thing you've ever had to go through.

00:15:40.499 --> 00:15:49.277
You need to learn this about God that there's nothing he's going to bring your way that's going to defeat you.

00:15:49.277 --> 00:15:59.434
If you're standing in the glory, then whatever comes is going to cause your product to rise.

00:15:59.434 --> 00:16:04.354
Then whatever comes is going to cause your product to rise.

00:16:04.354 --> 00:16:13.782
Amen, that's just how God's designed it to be, but without the exterior effect of tribulations and trials and those kinds of things.

00:16:13.782 --> 00:16:18.567
Amen, it's just not going to happen, no matter how hard you wish it to happen.

00:16:18.567 --> 00:16:26.671
Praise God, hallelujah.

00:16:26.691 --> 00:16:36.562
Now here in verse 3, we start to understand some of the things that are byproducts of glory.

00:16:36.562 --> 00:16:37.943
Amen.

00:16:37.943 --> 00:16:44.311
If God's going to produce glory in us, then some of these things are also going to be produced.

00:16:44.311 --> 00:16:55.234
The first thing that gets produced is what the King James calls patience and the New King James calls perseverance Amen.

00:16:55.234 --> 00:17:10.356
In the Greek it is from the word endurance, constancy, patience, patient continuation or patient continuance.

00:17:10.356 --> 00:17:14.630
I like that Patient enduring.

00:17:14.630 --> 00:17:25.874
It has the sense of not just being sitting there being bored and patient and there's nothing happening to you.

00:17:25.874 --> 00:17:42.794
And that's why the New King James uses the word perseverance, because it's in the face of stuff that's coming against you, you are still patiently in a place of your faith and in place of God's grace and in a place of God's glory, amen.

00:17:42.794 --> 00:17:44.419
It doesn't matter what comes at you.

00:17:44.419 --> 00:17:48.730
You are patiently enduring, amen.

00:17:48.730 --> 00:17:52.036
You are persevering, praise God.

00:17:52.036 --> 00:18:08.881
In the New Testament it's a characteristic of a man who is not swerved from his deliberate purpose, amen, and his loyalty to the faith and piety, even the greatest of trials and sufferings.

00:18:09.643 --> 00:18:14.333
So you know, like I've said before, this isn't going to get easier.

00:18:14.333 --> 00:18:20.000
The higher you go up the refining thing, the more heat has to be applied.

00:18:20.000 --> 00:18:30.703
The more pure the product amen the more care has to be taken to preserve it because it's more volatile.

00:18:30.703 --> 00:18:32.952
You try setting, you know, try setting.

00:18:32.952 --> 00:18:34.135
Taking a match to.

00:18:34.135 --> 00:18:42.281
You know tar, you know, and it'll just kind of, you know, it'll probably put the match out before it ever catches on fire.

00:18:42.281 --> 00:18:46.300
You put enough heat to it, it'll catch fire, but most of the time it just goes.

00:18:46.300 --> 00:18:52.721
You put a match anywhere around 97 octane gasoline and you better back off.

00:18:52.721 --> 00:18:59.082
Amen, because it's getting more pure and it has more energy.

00:18:59.082 --> 00:19:04.038
Glory to God, hallelujah.

00:19:04.038 --> 00:19:15.584
So what I'm trying to say is to get to that kind of purity and that kind of energy level in God requires much processing.

00:19:15.584 --> 00:19:19.493
Everybody wants it to happen today.

00:19:19.493 --> 00:19:21.076
It doesn't happen like that.

00:19:22.439 --> 00:19:28.035
Patience is one of the most misunderstood words in the New Testament.

00:19:28.035 --> 00:19:33.271
Patience does not mean sitting around waiting and everybody just goes.

00:19:33.271 --> 00:19:37.403
Well, you know, I'm just waiting on God, like they're saying God's late.

00:19:37.403 --> 00:19:43.057
I mean, that's what people sound like when they say that I'm just waiting on God.

00:19:43.057 --> 00:19:47.557
And you're supposed because that sounds real holy you're supposed to equate that with patience.

00:19:47.557 --> 00:19:49.215
Oh, he's such a patient person.

00:19:49.215 --> 00:19:50.576
No, he's an ignorant person.

00:19:50.576 --> 00:19:52.655
You know, because God's not late.

00:19:53.029 --> 00:19:54.717
It's impossible for God to be late.

00:19:54.717 --> 00:19:58.474
God's outside of time, so it's.

00:19:58.474 --> 00:20:06.939
You know, if he can't insert himself precisely in the right place of time which he created, then what kind of God do we have?

00:20:06.939 --> 00:20:21.759
It's impossible for God to be late, and I've noticed about God that he doesn't show up very early sometimes Because he doesn't like to wait, because that would make him part of time.

00:20:21.759 --> 00:20:28.121
See, this is something that your little mind doesn't get a hold of.

00:20:28.121 --> 00:20:39.698
But when you start to ponder on the eternity of God and the fact that he's totally outside of time because time is something that he created he's totally outside of time.

00:20:39.698 --> 00:20:46.297
He mentioned some of these things that we attribute to him, that are really human characteristics, don't work.

00:20:46.317 --> 00:20:52.798
You know, it's impossible for God to be late, it's impossible for God to be early, it's impossible for God to wait.

00:20:52.798 --> 00:21:16.116
It's impossible for for you know, if you're just kind of waiting and like I'm waiting on God, like I'm waiting on a bus, you know I'm just kind of sitting at the bus stop and you know fiddling around reading my magazine, you know picking my ears, doing whatever people do at the bus stop, you know, but I'm just waiting on God, you know, to do what you know and people say well, you know, what's really happening is God's waiting on you.

00:21:16.116 --> 00:21:23.003
But that's not true either, because God doesn't wait Now.

00:21:23.003 --> 00:21:34.498
He may earnestly expect, he may have a faith about you that has not translated into action on your part, but he's certainly not waiting.

00:21:34.498 --> 00:21:43.913
He might be marveling at your lack of faith and your lack of perseverance, but he's not waiting.

00:21:44.673 --> 00:21:59.119
Glory to God, hallelujah, tribulation produces perseverance If you don't have perseverance, you're not going to make it.

00:21:59.119 --> 00:22:19.044
Perseverance requires prayer, requires the laying down of things, it requires the laying down of life, it requires servanthood, it requires a way of looking at life that doesn't get you flustered all the time.

00:22:19.044 --> 00:22:22.038
You know, I mean, you just can't.

00:22:22.038 --> 00:22:26.759
You know a patient, a person that is patiently enduring, just can't.

00:22:26.759 --> 00:22:28.063
Oh no, not again.

00:22:28.063 --> 00:22:29.131
Oh, it happened again.

00:22:29.131 --> 00:22:31.095
Oh God, help me, jesus.

00:22:31.095 --> 00:22:36.330
Oh, you know, that kind of attitude isn't what God's trying to produce.

00:22:36.330 --> 00:22:40.698
God's trying to produce this attitude.

00:22:41.199 --> 00:22:52.496
You know, here comes a 40-foot wave, you know, and you go hmm, what things, what waves?

00:22:52.496 --> 00:23:01.003
And if he can't stop that wave, then all the stories that are in your Bible are just nonsense.

00:23:01.003 --> 00:23:03.366
Where's your faith?

00:23:03.366 --> 00:23:07.096
I'm telling you where my faith was.

00:23:07.096 --> 00:23:21.614
I'd be gone a long time before that wave got there, because I'd be listening to the voice of the Lord and he's saying get thou up and get thee out, and I'd say, okay, praise the Lord.

00:23:21.634 --> 00:23:51.027
But when you know I'm not saying okay, praise the lord, but when tribulations come, you know they're working for you and there's going to be a whole bunch of byproducts that are good for your life, but you're not going to develop a whole lot of patience and patient enduring and perseverance, unless things are happening to you that you don't like, because it's learning to put up forbear.

00:23:51.027 --> 00:23:53.432
This is a good definition of patience.

00:23:53.432 --> 00:24:00.477
Patience is forbearance of things that you don't like, of things that you don't like.

00:24:00.477 --> 00:24:11.017
It's like I've said before you've never submitted to anybody until that person asks you to do something you don't want to do, as long as they're asking you to do.

00:24:11.017 --> 00:24:17.694
This is what's wrong with this generation that's coming up because they've never been asked to do anything they don't want to do.

00:24:17.694 --> 00:24:27.221
And so when anybody I mean as soon as they run into a you know, type A alpha male they just go ballistic.

00:24:28.424 --> 00:24:32.596
Because, you know, type A alpha males don't talk in that kind of language.

00:24:32.596 --> 00:24:38.155
You know well, please, you know if you, if you, we just really admire your.

00:24:38.155 --> 00:24:44.817
You know the way you're struggling with this and trying real hard and you know we, just you know they're going to.

00:24:44.817 --> 00:24:47.123
You know we don't talk like that.

00:24:47.123 --> 00:24:59.278
It's like the difference between working for B-type males or for women no offense as opposed to type A males.

00:24:59.278 --> 00:25:03.961
Type A males will say move those chairs over in that room.

00:25:03.961 --> 00:25:09.792
Other people will go.

00:25:09.913 --> 00:25:18.295
Now, if you're feeling led today I know it's difficult and you got a bad knee today and we're really sorry.

00:25:18.295 --> 00:25:19.298
Let's pray for that.

00:25:19.298 --> 00:25:20.692
You want to pray for your knee today?

00:25:20.692 --> 00:25:26.042
Praise god, hallelujah, and if in, you know, maybe we can get two or three people to help you.

00:25:26.042 --> 00:25:33.111
If you just, I really don't want to put too much pressure on you, but could you, maybe just we could take all day.

00:25:33.111 --> 00:25:36.680
If you want to just move those chairs over there, we really need it.

00:25:36.680 --> 00:25:39.013
You just don't know how much you'd help us out.

00:25:39.013 --> 00:25:42.230
Oh god, god, it would just be such a blessing.

00:25:42.230 --> 00:25:42.632
Sister.

00:25:44.215 --> 00:25:50.050
You know, I mean I couldn't make myself talk, I couldn't do that in a million years.

00:25:50.050 --> 00:25:53.317
I'd get the chairs moved with you already.

00:25:53.317 --> 00:25:57.412
You know, I mean, that's how, that's how we think, that's how we talk.

00:25:57.412 --> 00:25:58.994
We don't, you know, we don't.

00:25:58.994 --> 00:26:00.719
We don't do things differently.

00:26:00.719 --> 00:26:09.791
But this generation won't do that because they don't respect authority, because they've never been asked to do anything that they don't want to do.

00:26:09.791 --> 00:26:19.457
And you won't come into submission under authority until you've been trained to do things you don't want to do.

00:26:19.457 --> 00:26:24.272
See, we never taught our kids that.

00:26:24.453 --> 00:26:25.596
I used to make this joke.

00:26:25.596 --> 00:26:32.738
It's not true, but I said the only rights they had was to breathe Because I couldn't control that.

00:26:32.738 --> 00:26:37.778
Otherwise, everything else was a privilege.

00:26:37.778 --> 00:26:42.440
If you didn't act right at dinner, you lost the privilege of eating.

00:26:42.440 --> 00:26:47.497
I most certainly did do that.

00:26:47.497 --> 00:26:53.111
Praise God, hallelujah.

00:26:53.111 --> 00:26:54.311
You can't be like that.

00:26:54.311 --> 00:26:55.354
I was like that.

00:26:55.354 --> 00:27:05.045
They still call me, they still talk to me.

00:27:05.045 --> 00:27:08.217
One of them still lives with me.

00:27:08.217 --> 00:27:12.496
You know they survived.

00:27:12.496 --> 00:27:17.077
One of them came home for two tours of Iraq and brought everybody that was assigned to him home.

00:27:19.230 --> 00:27:26.015
You know, glory to God, hallelujah, perseverance.

00:27:26.015 --> 00:27:36.570
If you're not tested, and you're not tested to persevere in your faith and in what you believe God's doing to you, you're not going to make it.

00:27:36.570 --> 00:27:39.159
You'll get stuck at some level.

00:27:39.159 --> 00:27:51.601
You'll get stuck at the asphalt level, or you'll get stuck at the crude oil level, or you get stuck someplace and you won't rise to the purity that God wants you to be purified at.

00:27:51.601 --> 00:27:53.613
You just won't.

00:27:53.613 --> 00:27:55.920
You won't make it through the heat.

00:27:55.920 --> 00:28:14.748
See when the heat Jesus, I wish I could preach this the heat gets applied at the bottom, but the base products and the inferior product gets funneled off first and doesn't have to suffer the heat anymore.

00:28:14.748 --> 00:28:37.717
So the asphalt kind of oil just goes off this way, and then the kerosene goes off this way, and then this, and then finally you're up at the top, but heat has to be applied to cause that to rise and be purified and then escape, then get out.

00:28:37.717 --> 00:28:41.702
Praise God, hallelujah.

00:28:42.604 --> 00:28:55.882
So the first thing that tribulations are going to produce is this patient enduring, or this perseverance, or this forbearance under pressure.

00:28:55.882 --> 00:28:59.417
Glory to God.

00:28:59.417 --> 00:29:00.652
Nobody wants to hear this.

00:29:00.652 --> 00:29:02.499
I didn't sign up for this.

00:29:02.499 --> 00:29:03.836
I signed up for heaven.

00:29:03.836 --> 00:29:08.162
Glory to God.

00:29:08.162 --> 00:29:12.259
This perseverance produces character.

00:29:12.259 --> 00:29:36.642
Now, in the King James, it says experience, but it means that it produces approving, it produces a trial, it produces an approved and tried character.

00:29:36.642 --> 00:29:41.818
It is actually a proof of tried worth.

00:29:43.382 --> 00:29:57.834
Now, you've often heard this statement that a man's character is not what he does when people are around him, but what he does when nobody's around, just God.

00:29:57.834 --> 00:30:01.780
God wants to build something in you.

00:30:01.780 --> 00:30:05.731
He wants to build a Christ-likeness in you.

00:30:05.731 --> 00:30:07.494
That is proven.

00:30:07.494 --> 00:30:12.122
It's just not talk, amen.

00:30:12.122 --> 00:30:25.250
You're going to be led in your life to places where your character is going to be put on the line, to places where your character is going to be put on the line.

00:30:25.250 --> 00:30:31.532
What has God built into you that is of worth?

00:30:31.532 --> 00:30:34.121
And it's of worth because it's been proven.

00:30:34.121 --> 00:30:37.292
And because it's been proven.

00:30:37.292 --> 00:30:47.580
God can pour out more glory in which you stand, because a proven character is trustworthy.

00:30:47.580 --> 00:30:50.695
I'm talking about God.

00:30:50.695 --> 00:30:50.896
Now.

00:30:50.896 --> 00:30:54.982
There's a place where you have to.

00:30:54.982 --> 00:31:03.901
One of your objectives in God has to be a place where God can say to you I have confidence that you're going to do this.

00:31:06.230 --> 00:31:12.284
One of the greatest things God ever did for me was at one point in my ministry.

00:31:12.284 --> 00:31:17.382
I'd be one of those people, and there's nothing wrong with it.

00:31:17.382 --> 00:31:18.855
Everybody's got to start somewhere.

00:31:18.855 --> 00:31:24.402
I always say that Everybody's got to start somewhere, but just don't stay there.

00:31:24.402 --> 00:31:27.934
I used to seek the Lord.

00:31:27.934 --> 00:31:29.760
I'd say what do you want me to preach?

00:31:29.760 --> 00:31:32.199
And He'd give me the Scripture, he'd give me the outline.

00:31:32.199 --> 00:31:35.056
What do you want me to do?

00:31:35.056 --> 00:31:36.500
Give me a word for tonight.

00:31:36.500 --> 00:31:40.138
I would do that, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with that.

00:31:40.138 --> 00:31:41.059
Tonight I would do that.

00:31:41.059 --> 00:31:42.342
There was absolutely nothing wrong with that.

00:31:42.461 --> 00:31:43.845
I remember one crusade we did.

00:31:43.845 --> 00:31:47.901
We had a big blank wall behind the platform.

00:31:47.901 --> 00:31:52.000
I said Lord, what do you want me to do in this crusade?

00:31:52.000 --> 00:31:56.240
He said I want you to paint a picture of Jesus on that wall.

00:31:56.240 --> 00:31:57.733
He wasn't talking about paint.

00:31:57.733 --> 00:32:00.694
He was just talking about what I preach.

00:32:00.694 --> 00:32:04.053
Just paint Jesus up there, let him be seen.

00:32:04.053 --> 00:32:06.557
Follow what I'm saying.

00:32:06.557 --> 00:32:08.741
I mean, he did that for me.

00:32:09.042 --> 00:32:14.496
And finally, one day I said Lord, what do you want me to preach?

00:32:14.496 --> 00:32:18.780
I'm talking about one of the greatest things he ever did for me.

00:32:18.780 --> 00:32:22.786
He said preach whatever you want.

00:32:22.786 --> 00:32:30.778
I have total confidence that you'll be in the river where I want you to be, and I can speak to you and guide your message.

00:32:30.778 --> 00:32:39.420
I said, oh, dear Jesus, what an amazing thing to hear from the Lord.

00:32:39.420 --> 00:32:43.340
And I've been doing that now for a couple decades.

00:32:46.394 --> 00:33:00.778
I get a direction that God wants me to go in, and I'm not banging heaven, for you know, I mean, that's what they taught you in Pentecost oh God, if you don't speak to me, I won't.

00:33:00.778 --> 00:33:06.000
Well, that's what they taught you in Pentecost oh God, if you don't speak to me, I won't.

00:33:06.000 --> 00:33:13.231
Well, that's okay for then, but you've got to get to a place where you can stand up as a son of God and say thus saith the Lord, or what's the point?

00:33:13.231 --> 00:33:17.952
You can't always stay in infanthood.

00:33:17.952 --> 00:33:22.464
Praise God, amen, amen.

00:33:22.464 --> 00:33:30.924
So this character is a proof that you've been tried, amen.

00:33:31.349 --> 00:33:38.981
And however, your patience has taken form, whether it's the patience of a servanthood or the patience of leadership.

00:33:38.981 --> 00:33:47.040
You know, when you've taken the patience of leadership, you have to learn how to put up and forbear the weaknesses of others.

00:33:47.040 --> 00:33:53.038
You know you can't always be browbeating people into submission.

00:33:53.038 --> 00:33:53.778
That doesn't work.

00:33:53.778 --> 00:33:55.884
You can't do that.

00:33:55.884 --> 00:34:02.143
You have to learn how to lead them by the example of your character.

00:34:02.143 --> 00:34:09.998
Hopefully they'll be ready to put up with some things when they come their way and you can help them to learn that.

00:34:09.998 --> 00:34:20.402
But sooner or later anybody that seeks to be Christ-like is going to have to go through some trials to prove and form their character.

00:34:21.911 --> 00:34:25.954
Amen, looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith.

00:34:25.954 --> 00:34:42.039
Who who looked at the cross and looked at the shame of it and disdained it and then sat down at the right hand of God?

00:34:42.039 --> 00:34:47.251
Consider him who suffered such contradictions of sinners.

00:34:47.251 --> 00:34:55.784
I mean the people he created and the people he put in office and created a system for them to function in.

00:34:55.784 --> 00:34:56.550
Amen.

00:34:56.550 --> 00:35:01.422
Those people came by and wagged their tongues at him and reviled him.

00:35:01.422 --> 00:35:19.501
You haven't gone through anything yet, but consider him and then, as you lead people, they're going to consider you and they're going to look at your character.

00:35:19.501 --> 00:35:28.117
Praise God, hallelujah, praise the name of the Lord.

00:35:29.510 --> 00:35:39.643
This character is going to produce something that we call hope but is really an earnest expectation.

00:35:39.643 --> 00:35:48.483
Your character produces, and we're talking about see the escalation.

00:35:48.483 --> 00:35:50.750
Patience produces character.

00:35:50.750 --> 00:35:55.744
Without patience you can't have character because you won't last long enough to develop one.

00:35:55.744 --> 00:35:56.768
Amen.

00:35:56.768 --> 00:36:08.099
Character produces hope, because hope is the evidence and the substance of things not seen.

00:36:08.099 --> 00:36:10.496
Amen.

00:36:10.496 --> 00:36:11.840
Are you with me so far?

00:36:11.840 --> 00:36:18.081
The mature in Christ, as you go through this process with the Lord?

00:36:18.081 --> 00:36:28.632
The mature in Christ are going to get to a place where they can call forth those things that are unseen into the realm of the seen, same way God does.

00:36:29.673 --> 00:36:38.800
It was said of Abraham that he believed God, who calls forth those things that are not as though they are.

00:36:38.800 --> 00:36:51.456
So when God spoke to Abraham at the tent and said, abraham, you're going to have a child about this time next year, and Sarah laughed and he said why do you laugh?

00:36:51.456 --> 00:36:52.739
He said because I'm an old woman.

00:36:52.739 --> 00:36:55.353
He said don't laugh.

00:36:55.353 --> 00:37:01.650
He said when I come back a year from now, you're going to have a child and his name is going to be Isaac and he's going to be a child of promise.

00:37:01.650 --> 00:37:06.579
And the Bible says that Abraham gave praise unto God.

00:37:06.579 --> 00:37:18.639
He accepted the Word of God because he all of a sudden got God-like character infused into him and he could see those things that were not as though they were.

00:37:18.639 --> 00:37:34.862
Even Paul says, in spite of his age and the deadness of their bodies one was 100, the other was 90, sarah's womb was dead, which means she'd already passed the place where she could even conceive.

00:37:34.862 --> 00:37:40.822
But in the book of Hebrews it says that God gave her faith to conceive seed.

00:37:40.822 --> 00:37:51.556
So God's here doing this wonderful thing with Abraham and Sarah, just by speaking to them, and faith is coming.

00:37:51.556 --> 00:38:01.920
Faith is coming for Abraham to enter into Sarah's tent and Sarah has gained strength in her room to conceive seed.

00:38:01.920 --> 00:38:09.717
All because God started talking, all because they had.

00:38:10.297 --> 00:38:15.880
This wasn't day one after Abraham's journey into Canaan.

00:38:15.880 --> 00:38:28.541
This was 25 years after he began his sojourn, and by that time he had learned patience, because he hadn't had a son yet that God had promised him.

00:38:28.541 --> 00:38:37.579
He had learned character when he sacked the cities of the plains and only took from them what he brought to God.

00:38:37.579 --> 00:38:41.655
You just find out how many people would do that.

00:38:41.655 --> 00:38:58.958
You know, when you've got the 90% of five cities, all their women, all their children, all their soldiers, all their animals, all their gold, all their treasures and you only own God 10% and he probably wouldn't give you a hard time about taking the 90?

00:38:58.958 --> 00:38:58.958
.

00:38:58.958 --> 00:39:13.036
I'm talking about character Character produced an earnest expectation that what they could not see, they were going to have.

00:39:13.036 --> 00:39:17.565
Hallelujah, praise God.

00:39:17.565 --> 00:39:18.956
That's what faith's all about.

00:39:20.250 --> 00:39:21.134
Faith is, you know.

00:39:21.134 --> 00:39:25.257
There's this one, you know, little pithy card that you see around.

00:39:25.257 --> 00:39:25.498
You know.

00:39:25.498 --> 00:39:29.077
Faith is, what is it?

00:39:29.077 --> 00:39:34.463
Faith is not believing that God can do it, but that he will do it, you know.

00:39:34.463 --> 00:39:40.606
But faith is a lot more than that.

00:39:40.606 --> 00:40:03.641
Faith is a creative force that allows you to literally bring out of the realms of glory something that is going to be real in this life, and not only for you, but more for other people as you progress up, because your hope cannot be limited to you.

00:40:03.641 --> 00:40:11.643
This is not about you producing Cadillacs or new houses or boats or millions of dollars.

00:40:11.643 --> 00:40:13.818
That's not what faith is for.

00:40:14.550 --> 00:40:24.083
Faith is for the purpose of producing miracles so that many can see the power of God and be led to believe in him.

00:40:24.083 --> 00:40:32.844
Because your faith, paul writes, is not based upon knowledge, but it is based upon the power of God.

00:40:32.844 --> 00:40:43.429
But it is based upon the power of God Not on word only, but in power, hallelujah.

00:40:43.429 --> 00:40:51.688
God can't trust power to people that have no character and people that have no hope.

00:40:51.688 --> 00:41:05.380
Amen, listen, if you don't believe that God wants to use you to bring those things that are not into the world, amen, you're not going to believe him for miracles.

00:41:05.380 --> 00:41:13.260
You're not going to believe him for limbs to be straightened out, for eyes to see, for ears to hear.

00:41:13.260 --> 00:41:15.485
You're not going to believe him for that kind of stuff.

00:41:15.485 --> 00:41:21.362
You're going to be looking at that which is and saying, oh, help him, jesus.

00:41:21.362 --> 00:41:23.556
But that's not faith.

00:41:23.556 --> 00:41:28.141
That's begging out of the situation.

00:41:28.141 --> 00:41:45.724
God wants to produce more in us, to where we can be the vessels of glory he wants us to be, and he can build in character and build in this earnest expectation that God is going to manifest.

00:41:45.724 --> 00:41:52.637
Somebody say amen, praise God, hallelujah.

00:41:53.840 --> 00:42:09.103
Now here's the clincher If you're believing God to do the impossible and to manifest things that are unseen as though they are, are you with me?

00:42:09.103 --> 00:42:13.376
We're not confessing that seen things are not.

00:42:13.376 --> 00:42:19.253
I'm not going to say if you've got the flu, well, you don't have the flu.

00:42:19.253 --> 00:42:22.159
You just need to have faith in God.

00:42:22.159 --> 00:42:23.891
Well, obviously you need to have the flu.

00:42:23.891 --> 00:42:24.856
You need to be healed.

00:42:24.856 --> 00:42:26.842
There's a healing.

00:42:26.842 --> 00:42:32.637
That's going to produce a status that is unseen at this point but it's going to be seen.

00:42:33.981 --> 00:42:38.016
You know people went around saying you know, well, you just got to confess that you don't have that.

00:42:38.016 --> 00:42:39.541
Well, you have it.

00:42:39.541 --> 00:42:45.719
You know, confess that you're not going to have it.

00:42:45.719 --> 00:42:52.155
Don't be an idiot and tell people you don't have a cold when you're sneezing your head off.

00:42:52.155 --> 00:43:03.831
You know, just say I'm believing God to drive this out of me.

00:43:03.831 --> 00:43:04.452
Now, see, I've had in my sojourn.

00:43:04.452 --> 00:43:12.405
I can't tell you how many times that sickness has tried to attach to me and everybody around me is just.

00:43:12.405 --> 00:43:18.476
You know, people are in the, they're filling up the clinics, they're filling up the doctor's offices, they're out for a week.

00:43:18.476 --> 00:43:24.351
They got coughs for months, you know, and all this stuff, and it affects me.

00:43:24.771 --> 00:43:47.246
But for a moment, until I can, until I say what God is saying about this and this isn't yours and it's come to pass and it's not here to stay and you need to believe for the thing that's not seen to be seen, because that's one of your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

00:43:47.246 --> 00:43:48.126
It's all yours.

00:43:48.126 --> 00:44:03.757
I said it's all yours, hallelujah, so that you can receive some of those things that are eternal and are not going to go Praise the Lord.

00:44:03.757 --> 00:44:07.262
Now watch this word right here, you get in a place.

00:44:07.262 --> 00:44:08.184
You don't believe this.

00:44:08.184 --> 00:44:09.833
Everybody says yeah and amen.

00:44:09.833 --> 00:44:12.800
I'm going to believe for the things that are not seen to be seen.

00:44:12.800 --> 00:44:16.007
I'm going to believe for the things that are not seen to be seen.

00:44:16.007 --> 00:44:18.152
Yea and amen, hallelujah, I'm going to do that.

00:44:18.152 --> 00:44:28.855
You better do that, because the Bible says right here, in verse 5, hope does not disappoint.

00:44:28.855 --> 00:44:34.851
When you start believing God like that, god has a word oath to you.

00:44:34.851 --> 00:44:36.016
Somebody, help me here.

00:44:36.016 --> 00:44:39.614
I'm trying to get to someplace where you really need to be.

00:44:39.614 --> 00:44:46.853
God has a word oath promise to you that that kind of hope will not disappoint.

00:44:46.853 --> 00:44:50.079
In other words, you will not be embarrassed.

00:44:50.079 --> 00:44:51.902
I'm going to read it right here Glory to God, embarrassed.

00:44:51.902 --> 00:44:58.264
I'm going to read it right here Glory to God.

00:44:59.269 --> 00:45:02.849
King James says it won't make you ashamed.

00:45:02.849 --> 00:45:12.465
Come on, it's not going to dishonor you, it's not going to disgrace you.

00:45:12.465 --> 00:45:16.652
It's not going to put you to shame.

00:45:16.652 --> 00:45:17.554
It's not going to make you ashamed.

00:45:17.554 --> 00:45:19.938
It's not going to cause you to blush with shame.

00:45:19.938 --> 00:45:22.931
It's not going to cause you to suffer a repulse.

00:45:22.931 --> 00:45:28.204
In other words, god's not going to tell you nah, I was just kidding.

00:45:28.204 --> 00:45:33.898
You just put yourself off there on a limb and believe in me to heal this sick person.

00:45:34.179 --> 00:45:36.103
I'm not going to do it because I was just kidding.

00:45:36.103 --> 00:45:39.438
You know he's not going to repulse you like that.

00:45:39.438 --> 00:45:43.210
He's not going to deceive you like that, amen.

00:45:43.210 --> 00:45:57.880
If he's encouraged you look at me very carefully If he encouraged you to be like Abraham, as Abraham was Jesus said.

00:45:57.880 --> 00:46:02.293
You guys say you're the sons of Abraham, but Abraham wouldn't do this to me.

00:46:02.293 --> 00:46:06.605
If you want to be like Abraham, find out what Abraham would do.

00:46:06.605 --> 00:46:12.757
Abraham would believe God that the things that were not are coming and they're going to be.

00:46:12.757 --> 00:46:27.400
And God says to you right here, 1,500 years later, by the voice of Paul now, 2,000 years later, he says to you this amen that that kind of hope will not disappoint.

00:46:27.400 --> 00:46:32.197
You won't be ashamed, you won't be disappointed, you won't be deceived.

00:46:32.197 --> 00:46:33.474
I'm going to do it.

00:46:33.474 --> 00:46:35.197
Have I not said it?

00:46:39.697 --> 00:46:51.398
You could have read this scripture probably 500 times and never got out of this what we're getting here today, because you don't understand that tribulations work for us.

00:46:51.398 --> 00:47:28.639
They are a necessary part of the refining process, and the refining process has an objective, and one of those objectives is to make you a vessel of faith and grace and glory and performance in things glorious and spiritual, so that you can be the active ingredient.

00:47:28.639 --> 00:47:31.498
Do you not know, folks, that God's already doing this?

00:47:31.498 --> 00:47:37.340
There's nothing surprising about this.

00:47:37.340 --> 00:47:46.815
I mean, when you use your faith and you start to believe to pull those things out of glory and into this realm and you go you know I'm believing God.

00:47:46.835 --> 00:47:48.739
God goes oh, that's wonderful.

00:47:48.739 --> 00:47:51.492
I never thought he'd make it.

00:47:51.492 --> 00:47:53.034
That's just tremendous.

00:47:53.034 --> 00:47:55.440
Bless the Lord, would you look at that?

00:47:55.440 --> 00:47:57.023
And he calls a few thousand angels.

00:47:57.023 --> 00:47:59.275
Just look at that, praise God.

00:47:59.275 --> 00:48:03.695
We better get to answering that, because that, oh hallelujah, that just was wonderful.

00:48:03.695 --> 00:48:05.161
You know, god's not like that.

00:48:06.510 --> 00:48:08.034
God was already believing it.

00:48:08.034 --> 00:48:15.362
God's been believing it for way back yonder, when there wasn't nothing.

00:48:15.362 --> 00:48:17.117
God was believing that for you.

00:48:17.117 --> 00:48:20.773
We just don't.

00:48:20.773 --> 00:48:22.356
We just got this idea about God.

00:48:22.356 --> 00:48:23.338
This is crazy.

00:48:23.338 --> 00:48:24.842
This is what I'm trying.

00:48:24.842 --> 00:48:34.516
He is going to get this out of us and start to see God for who he really is and understand that he's been believing this when we come into faith.

00:48:34.516 --> 00:48:41.867
We're just coming into this place where he is already at.

00:48:41.867 --> 00:48:51.844
So we're going to start believing what he already believes and we're going to start moving the things that he already has designed to be moved out of the spirit into this realm.

00:48:52.425 --> 00:48:55.735
Amen, this hasn't caught God by surprise.

00:48:55.735 --> 00:49:06.490
Watch, this Hope doesn't disappoint, because the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.

00:49:06.490 --> 00:49:29.443
I mean this God that already knows what's going to happen is now resonant in your spirit and is causing you to believe the same things he is believing, to say the same things he's been saying and to call those same things out as though they were, because he's been doing it from all eternity.

00:49:29.443 --> 00:49:34.155
This is a spirit of glory we're talking about.

00:49:34.155 --> 00:49:37.483
He lives in you and this is one of his jobs.

00:49:37.483 --> 00:49:40.478
This is what it's like to be Christ-like.

00:49:40.478 --> 00:49:46.773
You're not Christ-like when you sit around me.

00:49:46.773 --> 00:49:47.958
I just love you, lord.

00:49:47.958 --> 00:49:49.355
I just praise you.

00:49:49.355 --> 00:49:55.175
Lord, you're just real, pious, real humble and just.

00:49:55.175 --> 00:49:55.960
You know that.

00:49:55.960 --> 00:49:57.688
You're just real, pious, real humble.

00:50:02.891 --> 00:50:13.090
You know there's a reason why Elijah went up to heaven and didn't die, and that's because he knew enough about God that he could call down fire from heaven.

00:50:13.090 --> 00:50:15.213
You want to talk?

00:50:15.213 --> 00:50:17.226
He said well, god can just do whatever he wants to.

00:50:17.226 --> 00:50:26.184
He needed Elijah to do that, and Elijah saw, by the Spirit of God, what God wanted to do and had wanted to do since forever.

00:50:26.184 --> 00:50:35.300
And he just got right in there where the Holy Ghost was and started doing the same thing and called it down Amen.

00:50:35.300 --> 00:50:45.730
And it not only burned up the sacrifice, it burned up the rocks, burned up the wood, burned up the dirt, sucked up the water.

00:50:45.730 --> 00:50:49.746
Glory to God.

00:50:49.746 --> 00:50:51.092
Because he didn't hear.

00:50:51.092 --> 00:50:52.896
He didn't hear I want to send down fire.

00:50:52.896 --> 00:50:57.128
He heard I want to send down fire and destroy it all.

00:50:57.128 --> 00:50:58.652
Elijah said I'm getting agreement with that.

00:50:58.652 --> 00:50:59.835
And that's what he did.

00:50:59.835 --> 00:51:01.661
He jumped right into where God was.

00:51:01.661 --> 00:51:15.884
That's what the promise of God right here is that the hope is not going to disappoint, because the one who is hoping more than you are is already in your heart and is believing.

00:51:22.052 --> 00:51:26.882
But you won't find this out Sunday school level Christianity, because you can't.

00:51:26.882 --> 00:51:29.257
You can't understand it.

00:51:29.257 --> 00:51:31.257
You've got to go through some things.

00:51:31.257 --> 00:51:33.336
You've got to go through some patience.

00:51:33.336 --> 00:51:37.637
You've got to go through some character formation, some Christ-like formation.

00:51:37.637 --> 00:51:40.163
You got to go through some hope.

00:51:40.163 --> 00:51:51.684
Amen, hallelujah, praise God, perseverance, character, hope, the love of God.

00:51:51.684 --> 00:51:57.983
You got to go through this to where you trust the love of God more than you trust anything.

00:51:57.983 --> 00:52:04.177
That there's no doubt.

00:52:06.072 --> 00:52:21.282
Everybody say no doubt that God's working for me because he loves me and there's no doubt that I'm working for God because I love God.

00:52:21.282 --> 00:52:23.920
See, this is the relationship.

00:52:23.920 --> 00:52:26.452
This is the co-laboring relationship.

00:52:26.452 --> 00:52:29.831
It has nothing to do with spending the stuff on your lust.

00:52:29.831 --> 00:52:37.601
It has to do with building the kingdom the way God has already envisioned it.

00:52:37.601 --> 00:52:47.878
And you now are a wise master builder and you get to build with the voice of your mouth, as it is the voice of God.

00:52:47.878 --> 00:52:49.813
You go.

00:52:49.813 --> 00:52:51.798
I don't know if I'm ready for that.

00:52:51.798 --> 00:52:58.936
If you'll follow these steps, he'll make you ready, because these are the byproducts of glory.

00:52:58.936 --> 00:53:10.072
Until you get to the top and your life is hid with Christ in God, and whatever he says, you get to do.

00:53:10.072 --> 00:53:25.699
Whatever he speaks, you get to say and there's nothing the devil can do about it Hallelujah, praise God, let's stand.
