We've been talking about it for a few weeks, about how the church has become more carnal and weaker, because one thing is they have not pursued godliness the way God defines godliness, and we talked about that at length in 1 Timothy 3.16.

A second thing that spins off of that what happens is that we live now in a church world that is dominated numerically, money-wise, influence-wise, that is dominated by a church that has rejected the manifestation of the Holy Ghost at Azusa Street in 1906.

When the Holy Ghost was poured out at the beginning of the century and then that culminated in a great revival that came out of Los Angeles in 1906, that was an opportunity for the church to turn, to make another turn, not a complete new turn, but another turn.

That's an unusual statement because Paul probably didn't have anything, any reason to learn anything from the Galatians, you know, unless he wanted to learn how to cook food.

That was the style of the Galatians and they were basically a French people that had migrated out of the style of the Galatians and they were basically a French people that had migrated out of the region of France and into the region of Turkey, and there probably wasn't anything that they could teach Paul.

Over the years we have been through, we have seen it personally, where people who started out in the spirit and they were going gun-ho, you know, full of the Holy Ghost, working in miracles, working in signs, doing all those things and then all of a sudden, the next thing you find them and they're trying to be Old Testament Jews, like if it wasn't enough to get the gifts of the Spirit and the workings of miracles and all the things that the Spirit does.
