00:00:00.981 --> 00:00:04.030
Let's turn to the fourth chapter of 2 Corinthians.

00:00:04.030 --> 00:00:15.811
We're going to continue on in this story, this study of the spirit of ministry, the spirit of ministry which is the spirit of glory, the ministry of glory.

00:00:15.811 --> 00:00:32.784
We've been using the context, and this passage of Scripture is extremely important and extremely revelatory in a lot of ways.

00:00:32.784 --> 00:00:48.051
I think it's almost impossible to get the depth of what is in these few verses here, but the one thing that you cannot do is take these verses out of context.

00:00:48.051 --> 00:01:13.162
The context begins back in the middle part of chapter 3, where Paul starts talking about how the great sin that Israel committed when they rejected the voice of God at Sinai and Moses began to go up because the people said we don't want to listen.

00:01:13.162 --> 00:01:15.930
You go up and we'll listen to you.

00:01:15.930 --> 00:01:25.706
And all of a sudden they put a mediator between God and man, when God didn't want that.

00:01:25.706 --> 00:01:36.829
Not under the law and clearly not under the New Covenant, where there is one mediator between God and man, the man, christ Jesus.

00:01:36.829 --> 00:01:39.984
But God wanted to speak to his people.

00:01:39.984 --> 00:02:05.003
His people didn't want to listen, and so we get this really dramatic picture of Moses coming down the mountain, glowing with the reflected glory of God, because he'd been up there with him for so many days and the people of Israel could not gaze upon Moses for the glory that was coming off of him.

00:02:05.003 --> 00:02:17.043
And Paul says this if the ministry of condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious will be the ministry of the Spirit, amen.

00:02:17.043 --> 00:02:25.167
So from that we know that there's a ministry of glory, that the Spirit of God is the minister of that.

00:02:25.167 --> 00:02:29.650
Hallelujah, praise God.

00:02:29.650 --> 00:02:50.514
So the context for this is that great day, that historic day, that day that changed history, when the people of Israel rejected God and received the written law as a punishment and condemnation for their sin.

00:02:50.514 --> 00:02:53.086
Now, how do you know that's true?

00:02:53.086 --> 00:03:03.853
Because the Bible says that it is a ministry of condemnation and that the judgment written was nailed to the cross.

00:03:03.853 --> 00:03:08.050
Praise God, hallelujah.

00:03:08.050 --> 00:03:28.569
So you can think about this, just think about this that one of the great sins that Jesus took to the cross was the sin that Israel committed when they rejected the voice of God, because that's where the death sentence was written.

00:03:29.881 --> 00:03:37.829
Up until that point, the Bible says this very clearly that up until the law was given, death was in the earth.

00:03:37.829 --> 00:03:43.592
Amen, men died and they just rolled off the planet.

00:03:43.592 --> 00:03:44.955
Amen, men died and they just rolled off the planet.

00:03:44.955 --> 00:03:52.081
But until the law was given, there was no consciousness of sin.

00:03:52.081 --> 00:03:57.651
Men in their nature had lost all consciousness of sin.

00:03:57.651 --> 00:03:59.622
I've been all over this with y'all before.

00:03:59.622 --> 00:04:17.833
If you look through history, I mean history is replete with some of the most atrocious murders and just rape, pillage and plunder scenes hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions of people in one time.

00:04:17.833 --> 00:04:20.826
I'm not talking about World War I or World War II.

00:04:20.826 --> 00:04:25.608
I'm talking about way back in time, because there was just no knowledge of sin.

00:04:25.608 --> 00:04:37.968
People just did whatever they wanted to do and they loosely formed themselves around government with some laws to just maintain some law and order, but that did not restrain people at all.

00:04:37.968 --> 00:04:42.387
And until the law was given there was no knowledge of sin.

00:04:42.387 --> 00:04:47.750
After the law, there was knowledge of sin, but there was no power in the law to restrain sin.

00:04:47.750 --> 00:04:50.382
Hallelujah.

00:04:50.382 --> 00:05:03.310
And so the condemnation for sin, the judgment written against sin, was written at Sinai because the people of God rejected the voice of the Lord.

00:05:03.310 --> 00:05:06.466
Hallelujah, praise God.

00:05:06.466 --> 00:05:07.509
Now we come to.

00:05:08.264 --> 00:05:13.966
And then Paul starts talking about this ministry of the Spirit is a ministry of transformation.

00:05:13.966 --> 00:05:21.745
We talked about this last time, talking about where the Spirit now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord, there is liberty.

00:05:21.745 --> 00:05:38.430
And this law of liberty that James talks about is a law of hearing and doing, seeing and doing, and it leads us into a law of transformation.

00:05:38.430 --> 00:05:44.480
Verse 18 says but we all with an unveiled face.

00:05:44.480 --> 00:05:51.033
In other words, we don't put a veil over our face, over our glory, as glory containers.

00:05:51.033 --> 00:05:51.754
We don't do that.

00:05:51.754 --> 00:05:59.733
We behold, in the mirror of the revealed word, the glory of the Lord.

00:05:59.733 --> 00:06:04.290
And that glory, what is the spirit?

00:06:04.290 --> 00:06:11.845
He is the Spirit of ministry, and that ministry is a ministry of glory, the glory of the Lord.

00:06:11.845 --> 00:06:13.471
We are being transformed.

00:06:13.471 --> 00:06:21.083
So this ministry of glory is a ministry of transformation, transformed into what?

00:06:21.083 --> 00:06:26.766
A warmed-up Christian, a warmed-up human, somebody that just has better habits.

00:06:26.766 --> 00:06:29.908
That's not what this ministry is about.

00:06:29.908 --> 00:06:39.024
This ministry is to be transformed into the image of Jesus, and I'm not talking about when we go to heaven, I'm talking about now.

00:06:40.870 --> 00:06:43.187
Amen, you want to know what Jesus looks like.

00:06:43.187 --> 00:06:48.793
He looks like you, amen.

00:06:48.793 --> 00:06:50.357
You want to know what Jesus looks like.

00:06:50.357 --> 00:06:56.572
He looks like you, only you, as you're being transformed into His image.

00:06:56.572 --> 00:06:57.795
That's what Jesus looks like.

00:06:57.795 --> 00:07:05.134
I've seen these pictures of artist's rendition computer-generated stuff, trying to figure out what Jesus probably looked like.

00:07:05.134 --> 00:07:05.959
You don't have to go to all that trouble.

00:07:05.959 --> 00:07:12.267
Just look at somebody that's full of the Holy Ghost being transformed in him and you will see what Jesus looks like.

00:07:12.267 --> 00:07:16.891
That's what Jesus looks like, hello.

00:07:17.961 --> 00:07:19.988
If that's not true, folks, he wouldn't live in you.

00:07:19.988 --> 00:07:27.031
Does not the Bible say that he knows the very hairs of your head?

00:07:27.031 --> 00:07:41.543
When he formed you and he told Jeremiah that he called him from his mother's womb, he knew him, hallelujah.

00:07:41.543 --> 00:07:43.249
He's known you for a long time.

00:07:43.249 --> 00:07:48.886
He knew exactly how you would look and that's why he formed you that way, so he could look like that.

00:07:48.886 --> 00:07:54.430
You guys aren't believing this, amen.

00:07:54.920 --> 00:08:09.283
Now, I know that there's a God who sits on the throne, and I know that he dwells in inapproachable light, and I know that he sits on a throne that's on the emerald seat, and the elders, the four and twenty elders.

00:08:09.283 --> 00:08:10.389
I know all of that.

00:08:10.389 --> 00:08:26.728
But I also know there's a Holy Ghost, and I also know there's a Jesus that sits at his right hand, and I know that it is the purpose, the entire purpose, of the triune God to transform us into their image.

00:08:26.728 --> 00:08:36.972
Hallelujah, when you get your glorified body, who do you think you'll look like?

00:08:36.972 --> 00:08:41.710
Well, you'll look a little bit like you and you'll look a lot like him.

00:08:41.710 --> 00:08:45.404
Oh, yes, yes, you will.

00:08:45.404 --> 00:08:49.831
And what are you going to do with that glorified body?

00:08:49.831 --> 00:08:52.523
You're going to continue to be transformed into his image.

00:08:53.706 --> 00:08:58.206
Because if you think you know what Jesus looks like, you better think again.

00:08:58.206 --> 00:09:03.580
Because even in his glorified form, he appeared differently to different people.

00:09:03.580 --> 00:09:08.759
Glorified form, he appeared differently to different people.

00:09:08.759 --> 00:09:13.370
So when you think you've exhausted all of the transformation that you're going to do, think again.

00:09:13.370 --> 00:09:23.304
That's why you have eternity, because in order to be transformed into the image of Jesus, you will need eternity to finish the process.

00:09:23.304 --> 00:09:26.211
Amen, because that's how great he is.

00:09:26.211 --> 00:09:30.785
Nobody wants to teach this.

00:09:30.785 --> 00:09:33.543
This isn't elementary school stuff.

00:09:33.543 --> 00:09:37.884
Amen, this is for those that are being transformed.

00:09:37.884 --> 00:09:40.421
Praise the name of Jesus.

00:09:40.441 --> 00:09:41.947
So does that mean we'll never get to the fullness.

00:09:42.168 --> 00:09:42.327
No.

00:09:44.400 --> 00:09:45.626
Because eternity is forever.

00:09:45.919 --> 00:09:46.201
Yeah.

00:09:46.763 --> 00:09:54.628
I didn't say about fullness I just said, into His image, into the image of the fullness of Christ.

00:09:54.628 --> 00:09:59.008
Amen, not your fullness, his fullness.

00:09:59.008 --> 00:10:02.230
You're being transformed into that fullness.

00:10:02.230 --> 00:10:11.423
But since that fullness is infinite amen you need eternity to explore it.

00:10:11.423 --> 00:10:32.544
You see the logic in that If you got immediately full when you got glorified and there was nothing else to do except be glorified, what would be the purpose of eternity Except just to hang out?

00:10:32.544 --> 00:10:35.066
You know, but it's not like that.

00:10:36.461 --> 00:10:43.881
We've been conned into thinking that post-death life is just this permanent vacation, and that's not what it is.

00:10:43.881 --> 00:10:52.644
Our post-death life in Christ is a continual process of transformation and work.

00:10:52.644 --> 00:10:57.066
There are people up in heaven that are working.

00:10:57.066 --> 00:10:59.679
I'm not talking about angels, I'm talking about people.

00:10:59.679 --> 00:11:02.549
They're not up there on a vacation, they're up there working.

00:11:02.549 --> 00:11:07.431
They're doing things for the kingdom of God, amen.

00:11:07.431 --> 00:11:08.283
They're not up there on a.

00:11:08.283 --> 00:11:12.990
They don't look at it as a vacation, they look at it as a job, as a work, as a promotion.

00:11:12.990 --> 00:11:18.432
What they ran out of steam to do on this planet, they're doing in heaven.

00:11:18.432 --> 00:11:21.863
Hallelujah.

00:11:22.183 --> 00:11:34.871
Nobody talks about this kind of stuff because religion wants you to think in strictly religious or get saved, get a ticket to heaven, kind of go to church and be a better person and then you'll get promoted.

00:11:34.871 --> 00:11:36.105
That's foolishness.

00:11:36.105 --> 00:11:37.299
That's not what the Bible teaches.

00:11:37.299 --> 00:11:38.826
The Bible doesn't teach that at all.

00:11:38.826 --> 00:12:04.063
The Bible teaches that you come into this salvation experience by believing in him and upon him and that, believing in his word, that he speaks to you, that word will work in you, the ministry of glory, and transform you from one level of glory to another level of glory, so that your spirit man now becomes more like Jesus every day.

00:12:04.063 --> 00:12:12.788
Hallelujah, I got so much Bible on you I could cook a turkey with it.

00:12:12.788 --> 00:12:15.833
Amen, glory to God.

00:12:17.101 --> 00:12:21.192
They've told us stuff that is unreal because nobody reads their Bible.

00:12:21.192 --> 00:12:24.745
You read your Bible.

00:12:24.745 --> 00:12:27.985
You won't believe that stuff Because it's not there.

00:12:27.985 --> 00:12:34.246
The only way it's there is by taking Scripture out of context, and I'm going to deal with that in just a minute.

00:12:35.760 --> 00:12:39.139
I'm not saying that what we've been taught is entirely wrong.

00:12:39.139 --> 00:12:48.294
I'm just saying that nobody really teaches about what life is going to be after death.

00:12:48.294 --> 00:12:50.225
They just say we're going to heaven.

00:12:50.225 --> 00:12:53.086
Well, you know, when you die, you go to heaven.

00:12:53.086 --> 00:12:57.107
Well, we're all going to go to heaven.

00:12:57.107 --> 00:12:59.027
All God's children are going to go to heaven.

00:12:59.027 --> 00:13:01.666
What are you going to do when you die, we're going to go to heaven.

00:13:01.666 --> 00:13:02.710
I'm going to be with Jesus.

00:13:02.710 --> 00:13:04.833
Well, what does that mean?

00:13:04.833 --> 00:13:06.476
What are you going to do when you die?

00:13:06.476 --> 00:13:07.899
We're going to go to heaven, I'm going to be with Jesus.

00:13:07.899 --> 00:13:09.107
Well, what does that mean?

00:13:09.107 --> 00:13:13.946
See, I'm the kind of person I'm not ever satisfied with somebody's pat answer.

00:13:13.946 --> 00:13:16.091
Well, when we die, we're going to go to heaven.

00:13:16.379 --> 00:13:18.532
Why, why would we do that?

00:13:18.532 --> 00:13:20.642
What is the big deal about going to heaven?

00:13:20.642 --> 00:13:22.047
Well, we're going to be with Jesus.

00:13:22.047 --> 00:13:23.230
I'm with Jesus now.

00:13:23.230 --> 00:13:26.585
His Spirit, listen.

00:13:26.585 --> 00:13:31.450
If there's a difference between His Spirit and Jesus, we are in big trouble.

00:13:31.450 --> 00:13:36.881
And if the Spirit of Jesus fills me now, I can't get any closer to Him.

00:13:36.881 --> 00:13:40.331
Well, I don't need to go to heaven to be close to Jesus.

00:13:40.331 --> 00:13:41.341
Jesus is in me.

00:13:42.164 --> 00:13:43.368
Does anybody believe that?

00:13:43.368 --> 00:13:44.591
I mean, do you really believe that?

00:13:44.591 --> 00:13:49.447
If you don't believe that, that's why you need to go to heaven to be with Jesus, because you ain't got no Jesus now.

00:13:49.447 --> 00:13:52.802
It's real, simple, folks.

00:13:52.802 --> 00:13:55.210
That is a reality.

00:13:55.210 --> 00:13:56.543
I'm just going to preach.

00:13:56.543 --> 00:13:57.990
That's a reality.

00:13:57.990 --> 00:14:07.865
If you've got to go to heaven to be with Jesus and you ain't got Jesus now, think about it, go home and pray about that.

00:14:07.865 --> 00:14:10.145
Lord will tell you I'm right.

00:14:10.145 --> 00:14:23.725
But if you got Jesus now, you're in no hurry to get to heaven, because you're going to be doing the same thing there that you're doing now.

00:14:23.725 --> 00:14:33.033
Oh hallelujah, you just won't have the aches and pains and groans and moans and all that stuff.

00:14:33.033 --> 00:14:39.153
Listen, your calling and gifting are without repentance and they are forever.

00:14:39.153 --> 00:14:43.970
So you don't get to retire here and you don't get to retire there.

00:14:43.970 --> 00:14:46.546
There's no retirement in the Lord.

00:14:46.546 --> 00:14:49.325
Amen, praise God.

00:14:49.325 --> 00:14:50.192
You want to ask something, mike?

00:14:50.192 --> 00:14:59.311
Just so long as I don't have to build F-35s up there, you might build Elijah chariots.

00:14:59.759 --> 00:15:01.405
All right, I can dig it.

00:15:01.426 --> 00:15:01.787
Glory to God.

00:15:01.787 --> 00:15:08.504
So verse 1, chapter 4 says therefore, therefore, what?

00:15:08.504 --> 00:15:17.826
Therefore, going all the way back to this discussion about Moses and his veil and glory and all that stuff, all of those verses is a therefore, we haven't had a.

00:15:17.826 --> 00:15:18.609
Therefore, we've had a.

00:15:18.609 --> 00:15:24.783
Now we've had some other things, but a therefore wraps it up and it makes a transition.

00:15:24.783 --> 00:15:32.085
Therefore, seeing all these things about the glory and the ministry of glory, we have this ministry.

00:15:32.085 --> 00:15:32.989
What ministry?

00:15:35.782 --> 00:15:41.009
Now people will take that and start with that scripture and they'll go well, we have this ministry to preach.

00:15:41.009 --> 00:15:43.868
That's not what they're talking about here.

00:15:43.868 --> 00:15:45.726
They're talking about a ministry of glory, a ministry of preach.

00:15:45.726 --> 00:15:46.591
That's not what they're talking about here.

00:15:46.591 --> 00:15:48.961
They're talking about a ministry of glory, a ministry of transformation.

00:15:48.961 --> 00:15:58.788
We have watered down this gospel and we have watered down the power of preaching, so that people don't understand what this gospel is all about.

00:15:58.847 --> 00:16:09.201
But I'm here to tell you, folks, that within a whole lot less time than most of us have lived, this gospel was preached to the entire world.

00:16:09.201 --> 00:16:11.988
That is what the Bible says.

00:16:11.988 --> 00:16:22.785
Now you can think about, you can look at your little book of maps and you can look at Paul's journeys and you can say well, you know, bless God, that's where the gospel got carried to.

00:16:22.785 --> 00:16:36.812
My Bible says that Paul said this, that this gospel has been preached in the entire world in Paul's lifetime, which was less years than any of us here except for Sarah.

00:16:36.812 --> 00:16:39.547
Are you hearing what I'm telling you?

00:16:39.547 --> 00:16:46.171
That in the span of your lifetime Paul said the gospel had been preached to the entire world.

00:16:46.171 --> 00:16:50.730
Thomas had gone to India, others had gone into China.

00:16:50.730 --> 00:16:59.053
It is testified that some even went into the New World and got over here and preached to the natives.

00:16:59.053 --> 00:17:05.711
Just because we don't know these things doesn't mean they don't happen.

00:17:05.711 --> 00:17:21.114
There are testimonies back in ancient Indian tribes that testify to a race of white men in beards that came over and told them about a God who had come down from heaven and had died for their sins.

00:17:21.114 --> 00:17:22.846
Do you understand what I'm talking about?

00:17:22.846 --> 00:17:27.372
This gospel got over into Latin America and it got over into this continent.

00:17:27.372 --> 00:17:30.148
It got to China, it got to India.

00:17:31.900 --> 00:17:41.605
Now, just because the generations that followed the apostles didn't follow after it and keep it going, is not the gospel's fault.

00:17:41.605 --> 00:17:44.744
That happened in Europe as well as in you know.

00:17:44.744 --> 00:17:51.310
It happened everywhere Because people denied the Spirit and quit hearing the voice of God.

00:17:51.310 --> 00:18:02.348
But I'm telling you, what with the power of God that was released after the resurrection was enough to take this gospel to the entire planet.

00:18:02.348 --> 00:18:04.903
Now you go.

00:18:04.903 --> 00:18:06.689
How does that work?

00:18:06.689 --> 00:18:18.067
Look, if Philip could jump and fly 30 miles to make a preaching engagement in Samaria, just think what God can do if people believe Him.

00:18:20.881 --> 00:18:21.726
Glory to God.

00:18:21.726 --> 00:18:34.963
So this ministry is the ministry of glory and the ministry of transformation, and this ministry was the ministry that Paul took to Antioch and converted thousands upon tens of thousands upon tens of thousands.

00:18:34.963 --> 00:18:45.452
And God brought people from all over the Mediterranean to Antioch to be trained in the way to deploy house-based ministry.

00:18:45.452 --> 00:18:55.628
And by this ministry, paul and others conquered that part of the world inside of three, four generations.

00:18:55.628 --> 00:19:32.387
Hallelujah, in the time of your life, your parents' life and your grandparents' life, europe parents' life and your grandparents' life, europe, asia, minor Northern Africa and Spain were all taken for Jesus by the year 300, it was the major religion in that area, within 250 years, in that area, within 250 years, praise God, which includes your great-grandparents.

00:19:32.387 --> 00:19:48.805
Now we have a ministry, we have this ministry of glory, and we all have one, not just Paul, not just John, not just Peter, but we all have one, not just Paul, not just John, not just Peter, but we all have it.

00:19:48.805 --> 00:19:50.009
Who's the we?

00:19:50.009 --> 00:19:52.426
Those that are in Christ.

00:19:52.426 --> 00:20:07.551
Going back to verse 15 and 16, where Paul said that the veil is taken away for those that are in Christ.

00:20:07.551 --> 00:20:13.886
So those that are in Christ, amen, are those that have this ministry of glory.

00:20:13.886 --> 00:20:18.336
Are we hearing this?

00:20:18.336 --> 00:20:22.423
And we also have received a ministry of mercy.

00:20:22.423 --> 00:20:32.854
Now, I said this Sunday, I'll say it again God is rich in mercy.

00:20:32.854 --> 00:20:39.583
His mercies are unfailing, they are new every morning and they are infinite.

00:20:39.583 --> 00:20:43.190
Amen.

00:20:43.211 --> 00:20:45.336
David said goodness and mercy follow me.

00:20:45.336 --> 00:20:47.911
He couldn't get rid of them.

00:20:47.911 --> 00:20:50.479
He couldn't even get rid of them.

00:20:50.479 --> 00:20:52.334
Listen to me carefully.

00:20:52.334 --> 00:20:54.640
He couldn't even get rid of them.

00:20:54.640 --> 00:20:59.201
When he went over to Bathsheba's house, he couldn't get rid of them.

00:20:59.201 --> 00:21:04.797
When he sent his generals out to kill Uriah, he couldn't get rid of him.

00:21:04.797 --> 00:21:11.778
When he was trying to bribe Uriah to go into his wife, and he wouldn't do it because he was more honorable than David.

00:21:11.778 --> 00:21:20.663
He couldn't get rid of the goodness and mercy that was following him because mercy was going to come upon him and lead him back to the goodness of God.

00:21:20.663 --> 00:21:23.934
Oh, yes, it was Amen.

00:21:23.934 --> 00:21:27.984
This mercy, this ministry of mercy is so important.

00:21:27.984 --> 00:21:35.295
And Paul knew exactly what he was talking about because he was the one who had received the most mercy.

00:21:35.555 --> 00:22:03.364
You remember the story I think Sarah taught on it last Sunday when Jesus had been ministered to by the woman washing his feet Luke, chapter 7, and he asked Simon basically man, had he ended up asking him the question who loves the most, him who has been forgiven little or him who has been forgiven much?

00:22:03.364 --> 00:22:06.967
Simon said, well, obviously he who has been forgiven much.

00:22:06.967 --> 00:22:12.271
And he looked at the woman and said she has been forgiven much.

00:22:12.271 --> 00:22:15.421
Go and go and go in peace.

00:22:15.421 --> 00:22:20.858
The implication was that Simon hadn't quite made it.

00:22:20.858 --> 00:22:24.419
Amen, are you following any of this or I'm just rambling?

00:22:26.250 --> 00:22:28.976
Jesus is a minister.

00:22:28.976 --> 00:22:57.065
The ministry of glory, the ministry of transformation, in a lot of its essence is a ministry of mercy, because those of us who minister in the realms of glory and have experienced great things in the Lord, if we don't have mercy, we will be some of the most self-righteous prigs and prudish know-it-all just jerks.

00:22:57.065 --> 00:23:15.696
I mean, if you don't have mercy on God's people, amen, and God has given you a little bit of himself to minister, you will be a self-righteous Pharisee, and that's just the bottom line of it, amen.

00:23:15.696 --> 00:23:27.851
The thing that tempers self-righteousness and prudishness and all of those kinds of things is the mercy of God, the fact that you've been forgiven.

00:23:27.851 --> 00:23:29.957
Now, paul, listen.

00:23:30.398 --> 00:23:31.951
Paul had a lot to brag about.

00:23:31.951 --> 00:23:35.592
Paul was one of the most educated people in his world.

00:23:35.592 --> 00:23:37.419
He could speak four or five languages.

00:23:37.419 --> 00:23:41.298
He knew the entire Old Testament, a lot of it from memory.

00:23:41.298 --> 00:23:47.122
He knew Greek philosophers, he knew Greek poets.

00:23:47.122 --> 00:23:54.459
He was just an exceptional, exceptionally talented and gifted man.

00:23:54.459 --> 00:23:58.986
But he said this about himself he said of all men, I am the chief sinner.

00:23:58.986 --> 00:24:05.698
But he said this about himself he said of all men, I am the chief sinner.

00:24:05.698 --> 00:24:05.778
Why?

00:24:05.778 --> 00:24:10.365
Well, you go down the list, cain, how many murders is he guilty of?

00:24:10.365 --> 00:24:12.938
One?

00:24:12.938 --> 00:24:19.609
Lamech, he said he was guilty of seven.

00:24:19.609 --> 00:24:23.064
You know David, as far as we could tell one.

00:24:23.064 --> 00:24:24.349
Moses, as far as we can tell one.

00:24:24.349 --> 00:24:30.000
We're talking to some of the patriarchs of the Bible.

00:24:30.000 --> 00:24:34.936
How many people did Paul kill?

00:24:34.936 --> 00:24:36.112
We have no idea.

00:24:36.733 --> 00:24:37.959
He was a mass murderer.

00:24:37.959 --> 00:24:43.861
He was so full of rage that he went.

00:24:43.861 --> 00:24:46.173
I mean, he was going to a whole other city.

00:24:46.173 --> 00:24:56.876
He ran out of people to persecute in Jerusalem and he was going to Damascus Because he'd run them out of town and they'd fled to Damascus and he was chasing them.

00:24:56.876 --> 00:24:58.479
Let me get you know.

00:24:58.479 --> 00:25:07.032
Let's put it this way you know, the marshal's been set loose.

00:25:07.032 --> 00:25:19.692
There's some outlaws in the city and he's gone with a big posse, starts rousting the outlaws and so the outlaws flee to another town, thinking they're going to be safe there.

00:25:19.692 --> 00:25:25.644
But the marshal takes an even bigger posse and goes and chases them in that city.

00:25:25.644 --> 00:25:29.641
That's exactly what was happening in Jerusalem.

00:25:29.641 --> 00:25:44.472
The Christians were outlaws, they had been banned from the fellowship of the Jews, and Paul was the marshal and he's going to go round them up and if they resisted they got the sword.

00:25:44.472 --> 00:25:47.441
I mean, that's what was happening.

00:25:47.441 --> 00:25:51.198
There's no telling how many people Paul killed.

00:25:52.330 --> 00:25:58.880
Not only did he just kill people, but he killed God's people, and he killed them in the beginning of their destinies.

00:25:58.880 --> 00:26:02.636
This is an important thing to God.

00:26:02.636 --> 00:26:09.730
So Paul said listen, I am what I am by the grace of God.

00:26:09.730 --> 00:26:13.711
I have received great mercy from God and I know.

00:26:13.711 --> 00:26:24.779
That's why Paul can say my God is a God of comfort and I have learned to comfort others by the comfort that God has given me.

00:26:24.779 --> 00:26:27.829
You can say the same thing about mercy.

00:26:27.829 --> 00:26:35.597
God is a God of mercy and I have been able to minister mercy to others because of the mercy he's shown me.

00:26:35.597 --> 00:26:41.259
But if you haven't received any mercy from God, you can't minister it me.

00:26:41.259 --> 00:26:44.726
But if you haven't received any mercy from God, you can't minister it.

00:26:44.726 --> 00:26:46.730
You can only receive.

00:26:46.730 --> 00:26:49.604
You can only minister what God gives you.

00:26:49.604 --> 00:26:53.537
Amen, no, so we've received mercy, so we can minister mercy.

00:26:53.557 --> 00:26:54.539
And so Paul says this.

00:26:54.539 --> 00:26:59.278
He says we do not lose heart.

00:26:59.278 --> 00:27:02.477
In other words, we don't faint, we don't cave into pressure.

00:27:02.477 --> 00:27:04.756
What kind of pressure is that?

00:27:04.756 --> 00:27:08.317
See, nobody asks these questions.

00:27:08.329 --> 00:27:09.916
What kind of pressure is Paul talking about here?

00:27:09.916 --> 00:27:14.298
Well, you know the ministry, brother.

00:27:14.298 --> 00:27:18.676
It's hard work and it's tedious and you just got to, you know.

00:27:18.676 --> 00:27:22.059
But if you're going to be successful at it, you just got to keep on going.

00:27:22.059 --> 00:27:26.080
So we don't faint, we don't give in to pressure, we just keep on going.

00:27:26.080 --> 00:27:27.674
That's not what Paul's talking about here.

00:27:27.674 --> 00:27:29.019
That's not the context.

00:27:29.019 --> 00:27:32.215
Context is not about being exhausted.

00:27:32.215 --> 00:27:34.923
The context is about ministering in the glory.

00:27:34.923 --> 00:27:40.152
We understand what I'm talking about here.

00:27:40.152 --> 00:27:41.874
This is not we're'm talking about here.

00:27:41.874 --> 00:27:43.035
This is not we're not talking about.

00:27:43.035 --> 00:27:47.440
You know well, the ministry's hard and you just got to keep on going.

00:27:47.440 --> 00:27:57.791
That would have been a good sermon for the shipwreck part of Paul's life, you know but that's not where he's at now and he's not talking about that.

00:27:57.912 --> 00:28:00.394
He's talking about the ministry of glory.

00:28:00.394 --> 00:28:09.944
Since we have this ministry of glory, we don't cave into pressure, we don't faint, we don't cave into pressure.

00:28:09.944 --> 00:28:10.885
What kind of pressure?

00:28:10.885 --> 00:28:24.733
The pressure to fall back from the glory.

00:28:24.753 --> 00:28:25.416
Listen to what Paul's saying here.

00:28:25.416 --> 00:28:27.044
Paul is saying we've been given this ministry of glory.

00:28:27.044 --> 00:28:37.115
It is a ministry of transformation and we do not in any way cave into the pressure to back off of that assignment and do something less.

00:28:37.115 --> 00:28:40.721
That was Israel's sin and do something less.

00:28:40.721 --> 00:28:41.321
That was Israel's sin.

00:28:41.321 --> 00:28:50.691
The glory was manifested from heaven and what was the first thing they did?

00:28:50.691 --> 00:28:51.612
They caved in to the pressure of the glory.

00:28:51.652 --> 00:28:52.593
Listen to what they did.

00:28:52.593 --> 00:28:54.413
We've been through this before.

00:28:54.413 --> 00:28:59.078
They're standing there, god said come to the mountain, don't come any closer than this, right here.

00:28:59.078 --> 00:29:20.134
And then, all of a sudden, here comes thunder, here comes lightning, here comes earthquakes, here comes rumblings, here comes trumpets, here comes angels, here comes a voice, here comes a heat that seared the rocks to a temperature that's greater than the core of the sun.

00:29:24.810 --> 00:29:36.077
I'm talking about stuff that has never been seen on the planet before, and they caved into the pressure of that coming upon them and they backed off and they said we don't want it, we're not having it.

00:29:36.077 --> 00:29:38.540
Moses, you want it, you go get it.

00:29:38.540 --> 00:29:39.823
We're not having it.

00:29:39.823 --> 00:29:41.204
We are having it, moses.

00:29:41.204 --> 00:29:42.385
You want it, you go get it.

00:29:42.385 --> 00:29:45.069
We're not having it, we are rejecting it.

00:29:45.069 --> 00:29:51.913
We are caving in to the pressure of the glory.

00:29:51.933 --> 00:29:58.375
Let me tell you something, folks when you minister this gospel, some of the places and some of the ways that we have, amen, there is a pressure and there is a weight of glory.

00:29:58.375 --> 00:29:59.621
We're going to talk about that in another message.

00:29:59.621 --> 00:30:00.744
There is a pressure and there is a weight of glory.

00:30:00.744 --> 00:30:02.029
We're going to talk about that in another message.

00:30:02.029 --> 00:30:06.421
There is a pressure and a weight of glory that comes on you.

00:30:06.421 --> 00:30:08.614
You can feel it.

00:30:08.614 --> 00:30:24.494
You can feel it and you better not walk back from it, you better not reject it, but you better embrace it and go with it, amen, because it can consume you as well as those around you.

00:30:24.494 --> 00:30:37.318
If you move into it and don't resist it and don't reject it and don't fade under the pressure, it will sustain you, it will strengthen you.

00:30:38.893 --> 00:30:41.279
I've been in places you can't you probably?

00:30:41.279 --> 00:30:47.602
I have been so sick I couldn't walk.

00:30:47.602 --> 00:31:02.942
I was in a hotel room, been sick for days, been ministering, and I'd gotten to a place where I was so weak and so dehydrated I couldn't walk.

00:31:02.942 --> 00:31:15.354
I said you all go, leave me here, made plans for another guy to take the service and I'm laying there on the bed and the Lord said get up and go to this service.

00:31:15.354 --> 00:31:18.157
Lord said get up and go to this service.

00:31:18.157 --> 00:31:38.044
I said oh Jesus, I mean I'm really there's not, there's not a part of me that I am just so sick.

00:31:38.044 --> 00:31:38.507
I got myself dressed.

00:31:38.507 --> 00:31:43.534
I had to catch a bus, went down to the lobby.

00:31:43.534 --> 00:31:45.298
I said what bus do I get to go to the center of Al-Awayla?

00:31:45.298 --> 00:31:48.304
And they said go out and take this bus, went out, paid the bus, got on the bus.

00:31:48.304 --> 00:31:48.825
I am so sick.

00:31:48.904 --> 00:31:57.836
First thing I did when I got off the bus, I went to the first public bathroom I could find, got myself all together and went to the service.

00:31:57.836 --> 00:32:00.769
They go what in the world are you doing here?

00:32:00.769 --> 00:32:02.333
I said the Lord told me to get up and go to this service.

00:32:02.333 --> 00:32:04.176
I said.

00:32:04.176 --> 00:32:05.219
I told the man.

00:32:05.219 --> 00:32:12.323
I said I know you're ready to preach and I'm sorry, but the Lord has given me a word and I'm going to preach this word.

00:32:14.191 --> 00:32:25.134
And I mean all the time that I was preaching and praying for people, the glory of God got into me and sustained me and strengthened me.

00:32:25.134 --> 00:32:28.602
I didn't have any of the physical symptoms that I'd had for days.

00:32:28.602 --> 00:32:31.997
I felt like I was totally healed.

00:32:31.997 --> 00:32:46.375
I felt like I could do this for hours and I just flowed in that glory as he infused it in me, and as soon as it was over, I almost collapsed.

00:32:46.375 --> 00:32:54.896
They had to have people on both sides of me take me back to the public restroom, amen, and get me home.

00:32:57.241 --> 00:33:17.960
But for that time, from the time that the word of the Lord came to me and told me to get up and go to the service, to the time that the glory was lifted and the ministry was over, I was taken into a realm that was different than the realm that I was in when I was in the hotel room amen.

00:33:17.960 --> 00:33:28.513
And it was different than the realm I was in after he left, because I didn't reject the voice.

00:33:28.513 --> 00:33:38.363
Now, there were people healed that night that would not have been healed if I had stayed back in the hotel room.

00:33:38.363 --> 00:33:41.771
There were people touched by the power of God.

00:33:41.771 --> 00:33:42.742
That would have been touched.

00:33:42.742 --> 00:33:48.424
It would have been a different kind of meeting, and I don't get any of the credit for that.

00:33:48.424 --> 00:33:52.561
All I did was drag my poor little self out of the bed and get on with it.

00:33:54.586 --> 00:33:55.548
Are you hearing what I'm saying?

00:33:55.548 --> 00:33:58.980
There's a pressure and a weight of this glory.

00:33:58.980 --> 00:34:06.346
That is awesome, literally awesome and I don't use that word very often, but it is an awesome thing.

00:34:06.346 --> 00:34:11.751
It is an awesome thing to be in the glory cloud working and ministering.

00:34:11.751 --> 00:34:14.032
But you can't resist it.

00:34:14.032 --> 00:34:19.516
You cannot faint and give in to pressure and back off of it.

00:34:19.516 --> 00:34:40.394
That is one of the most dangerous things you can ever do, because it repeats the sin that Israel did, just like at Sinai, when they caved in, backed away and didn't want to have anything to do with what God wanted them to do.

00:34:40.394 --> 00:34:43.407
Hallelujah, praise the Lord.

00:34:43.427 --> 00:34:59.239
Verse 2 says but we, same people that have this ministry, the same people that are in Christ, the same people that have taken off the veil that's the we here.

00:34:59.239 --> 00:35:01.043
We have renounced the hidden things of shame.

00:35:01.043 --> 00:35:08.333
Folks, listen, you don't need a PhD to tell you that ministers ought to renounce evil things.

00:35:08.333 --> 00:35:13.987
Duh.

00:35:13.987 --> 00:35:24.353
But that's not the context here, the we here is those that are in Christ, that have taken off the veil and now see, and now radiate a glory that is unrestrained.

00:35:26.101 --> 00:35:40.329
Those ministers renounce the hidden things of shame that were there when they walked under the law, when they had a veil over their eyes and just like Moses' veil, do you know what Moses had to do?

00:35:40.329 --> 00:35:45.255
Not only did Moses have to hide his face, but he had to hide himself.

00:35:45.255 --> 00:36:00.320
There was a shame associated with the reflected glory that Moses had, because, I mean, if he got too close to the people with that glory, they were ashamed, they would get killed, he'd be accountable.

00:36:00.320 --> 00:36:07.880
Glory they were ashamed, they would get killed, he'd be accountable.

00:36:07.880 --> 00:36:10.463
We don't learn this in Sunday school.

00:36:10.463 --> 00:36:14.956
We just learn that, oh, moses came down with his face shining, but there was a shame and a guilt associated with it.

00:36:14.956 --> 00:36:15.317
Why?

00:36:15.317 --> 00:36:19.326
Because they were walking under the law of condemnation.

00:36:19.326 --> 00:36:28.961
Wherever there's condemnation, there is shame, there is guilt, there is this thing that gnaws at you, that you know.

00:36:28.961 --> 00:36:37.748
Okay, I might have done this and I might have gone and given the pigeons and sacrificed the goat and done everything I was supposed to do, but I'm still bad.

00:36:37.748 --> 00:36:48.594
I'm probably going to be back here with pigeons and goats tomorrow and some more pigeons and goats the week after that, because that's just who I am.

00:36:48.594 --> 00:36:49.643
I'm just that way.

00:36:49.643 --> 00:36:53.820
I'm just going to be a pigeon and goat guy, because I'm going to do it one day and bring the goat.

00:36:54.202 --> 00:37:03.014
There was no freedom from the bondage and there was a constant reminder of the guilt and the shame.

00:37:03.014 --> 00:37:05.284
Glory to God.

00:37:05.284 --> 00:37:07.634
Listen, folks, you can think all you want to.

00:37:07.634 --> 00:37:15.414
Well, they brought that goat into the temple and it was a token of their pardon and all that.

00:37:15.414 --> 00:37:16.778
That's foolishness.

00:37:16.778 --> 00:37:24.333
They brought that thing back because that's what God commanded, but it did nothing to restrain their sin.

00:37:24.333 --> 00:37:26.485
They were going to be back next week.

00:37:26.485 --> 00:37:27.309
They always were.

00:37:27.309 --> 00:37:32.211
If that wasn't the case, the temple would have shut down in a few weeks.

00:37:32.211 --> 00:37:37.572
Everybody would have got saved, healed, delivered, but that wasn't the case.

00:37:37.572 --> 00:37:40.148
They just kept on sinning and kept on bringing the offerings.

00:37:41.539 --> 00:37:43.463
And Paul says we renounce that.

00:37:43.463 --> 00:37:53.007
We renounce living under that kind of condemnation, we renounce that shame, we renounce that bondage.

00:37:53.007 --> 00:38:06.706
We renounce the bondage to the letter of the law, to the letter of a certain way of living, and we are now free in the ministry of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

00:38:06.706 --> 00:38:10.076
There is no condemnation in that.

00:38:10.076 --> 00:38:11.940
There's no shame and guilt in that.

00:38:11.940 --> 00:38:18.369
We reject anything that is not of the Spirit of glory.

00:38:18.369 --> 00:38:23.096
You got to hear Paul and you got to hear it good.

00:38:23.096 --> 00:38:28.010
We reject anything that is not of this spirit.

00:38:28.010 --> 00:38:36.927
So, if it's not of this spirit, we're not going to minister it, we're not going to give in to it, we're not going to cave back to it.

00:38:36.927 --> 00:38:38.626
We're not doing it.

00:38:38.626 --> 00:38:47.806
We are going to keep pressing into this glory that is transformational and will take us from one level of glory to another.

00:38:47.806 --> 00:38:52.195
Hallelujah.

00:38:52.195 --> 00:38:54.806
Now see, you can apply this.

00:38:54.806 --> 00:38:59.255
If you don't think I'm talking to anybody in this room.

00:38:59.255 --> 00:39:03.467
You can apply this real easily to your prayer life.

00:39:03.467 --> 00:39:06.733
Amen.

00:39:08.181 --> 00:39:24.483
This would be a great place to start To go to the Lord and say Lord, I want the spirit of glory and transformation to consume my prayer life, amen, and transformation to consume my prayer life.

00:39:24.483 --> 00:39:33.670
And I want to go from one level of glory to another level of glory and I want my prayers to be answered.

00:39:33.670 --> 00:39:38.708
And not only do I want my prayers to be answered, but I want to enter into a realm of glory where I'm praying what you pray.

00:39:38.708 --> 00:39:39.570
I'm tired of praying what I want to pray.

00:39:39.570 --> 00:39:41.438
I want to pray what you want to enter into a realm of glory where I'm praying what you pray.

00:39:41.438 --> 00:39:42.822
I'm tired of praying what I want to pray.

00:39:42.822 --> 00:39:44.367
I want to pray what you want to pray.

00:39:44.367 --> 00:39:50.150
Not only am I going to enter into that glory, but I'm going to hear what God says and I'm going to pray that.

00:39:50.150 --> 00:39:57.489
Not only am I going to do that, but I'm going to go to another level of glory where God starts to talk to me and say I want you to pray with me about this.

00:39:57.489 --> 00:40:07.581
And then you go to another level of glory where you just hear his heartbeat and you just pray in tongues until you pray it out and he says that's good, go do whatever you need to do.

00:40:07.581 --> 00:40:10.670
There are levels of glory in prayer.

00:40:11.894 --> 00:40:13.880
I am the worst person that you ever want.

00:40:13.880 --> 00:40:16.326
This happens to me all the time that they want me to open the service in prayer.

00:40:16.326 --> 00:40:19.753
This happens to me all the time that they want me to open the service in prayer.

00:40:19.753 --> 00:40:28.900
I am not a public prayer.

00:40:28.900 --> 00:40:29.342
I'm not one of these.

00:40:29.342 --> 00:40:29.983
Oh Jesus, I'm just not that.

00:40:30.003 --> 00:40:33.371
What I'm good at is coming out and going somebody worship Jesus in this place, somebody.

00:40:33.371 --> 00:40:40.197
Just lift up your hands and let's praise this Jesus, my God, and I just start praying in tongues because I don't know how to pray anymore like everybody else prays.

00:40:40.197 --> 00:40:43.666
Because I don't know how to pray anymore like everybody else prays.

00:40:43.666 --> 00:40:44.909
I don't know how to do that.

00:40:44.909 --> 00:40:46.351
I quit doing that so many years ago.

00:40:46.351 --> 00:40:48.304
I just don't know how.

00:40:48.304 --> 00:40:49.708
I don't pray a long time.

00:40:49.708 --> 00:40:55.463
I don't have to pray a long time, I just get into where God's at and I start praying.

00:40:55.463 --> 00:40:55.682
That.

00:40:55.682 --> 00:40:59.045
It may not be anything they want to hear.

00:40:59.045 --> 00:41:03.710
You know well what we were thinking about this morning.

00:41:03.710 --> 00:41:04.550
Hey, you know.

00:41:04.550 --> 00:41:05.751
You asked the wrong guy.

00:41:05.751 --> 00:41:07.333
It may not be anything.

00:41:07.333 --> 00:41:09.556
They want to hear what we were thinking about this morning.

00:41:09.556 --> 00:41:10.215
Hey, you asked the wrong guy.

00:41:10.215 --> 00:41:11.336
I'm not a cheerleader.

00:41:11.336 --> 00:41:12.679
I'm not going to do that kind of stuff.

00:41:12.679 --> 00:41:17.666
I've paid too much of a price in learning how to pray with God to do that.

00:41:17.666 --> 00:41:18.791
I'm just not going to do that.

00:41:19.639 --> 00:41:21.628
I'm telling you you can learn about glory to glory.

00:41:21.628 --> 00:41:26.172
If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can learn about it in your prayers, amen.

00:41:26.172 --> 00:41:30.239
When you learn about it there, then you'll understand some of what I'm talking about.

00:41:30.239 --> 00:41:47.271
That God leads you into the realms where he lives and where he is and how he thinks and where he lives and breathes and has His being, and you can get into that realm with him and go from one glory to another level of glory.

00:41:47.271 --> 00:41:49.507
Praise God, you can do it.

00:41:50.900 --> 00:42:02.586
But you can't cave in and back off of it or else the transformational process will stop, and that's what happens to a lot of people.

00:42:02.586 --> 00:42:17.550
They enter in, they start to get transformed, then they get afraid, they get scared, they're afraid of being consumed by it, they're afraid of being too radical, they're afraid of being too, too, too, too, too, too.

00:42:17.550 --> 00:42:21.445
Nobody will relate to me, nobody will like me, nobody will understand me.

00:42:21.445 --> 00:42:22.590
It doesn't matter.

00:42:22.590 --> 00:42:27.309
The only thing that matters is if God understands you and you understand Him.

00:42:27.309 --> 00:42:37.402
It absolutely does not matter if anybody else does, and I don't care who they are, it does not matter.

00:42:37.402 --> 00:42:54.610
At the end of the day, folks, all of this and forever is going to be all about God, all about Him, nothing about you, all about Him, amen.

00:42:54.610 --> 00:43:04.481
We live in a realm where that's true, but we don't live in it Because there's other things that come in and crowd that out.

00:43:06.967 --> 00:43:15.010
Part of learning how to go from glory to glory is to crowd that stuff out and keep it away and not cave into it.

00:43:15.010 --> 00:43:18.204
You go well, what about?

00:43:18.204 --> 00:43:19.590
What about?

00:43:19.590 --> 00:43:20.862
What about?

00:43:20.862 --> 00:43:21.603
What about?

00:43:21.603 --> 00:43:22.126
What about?

00:43:22.126 --> 00:43:22.867
What about?

00:43:22.867 --> 00:43:23.369
What about?

00:43:23.369 --> 00:43:24.452
What about?

00:43:24.452 --> 00:43:28.630
Push it away, push it away, push it away.

00:43:28.630 --> 00:43:32.550
Don't cave into that Cave into the glory.

00:43:32.550 --> 00:43:36.228
Don't cave into that Cave into the glory.

00:43:36.228 --> 00:43:46.181
Don't resist the glory, resist that Hallelujah, hallelujah, praise the Lord.

00:43:46.181 --> 00:43:54.208
You've got to renounce those hidden things, those things that don't look like they're bad and they're not bad, they're just there.

00:43:54.208 --> 00:44:06.353
But they're contrary to moving from glory to glory, to glory to glory to glory.

00:44:06.353 --> 00:44:11.708
Hello, I didn't even get an amen from Mike on that one.

00:44:14.722 --> 00:44:17.623
Hallelujah, not walking in craftiness.

00:44:17.623 --> 00:44:20.900
I probably ought to stop right there.

00:44:20.900 --> 00:44:23.929
Let's touch on this one.

00:44:23.929 --> 00:44:26.086
I think we'll wrap it up.

00:44:26.086 --> 00:44:36.108
Not walking in craftiness, if you're not, listen to me, in ministry we all have one.

00:44:39.164 --> 00:44:50.588
Whatever that is, you can walk in a spirit of manipulation or you can walk in a spirit of glory, but you can't do both.

00:44:50.588 --> 00:45:01.967
Manipulation, you can walk in that and you can be a really good crowd control person.

00:45:01.967 --> 00:45:04.364
You can move them.

00:45:04.364 --> 00:45:07.045
We've all seen this.

00:45:07.045 --> 00:45:11.811
I'm not going to mention any names and I'm not going to cast aspersions.

00:45:11.811 --> 00:45:18.172
I've seen it in multiple ministries, so I'm not talking about one particular ministry.

00:45:18.172 --> 00:45:34.465
But you can condition people that when you go like that, everybody in that section falls down and they'll all swear it was the Holy Ghost and it might be.

00:45:34.465 --> 00:45:58.250
But I've seen a whole lot of people that I know were not gifted by God start doing that kind of stuff and people just kind of fell down because it got to be trendy and that is nothing but flat-out manipulation and psychological crowd control.

00:45:58.250 --> 00:46:01.487
It is nothing more than that.

00:46:01.487 --> 00:46:10.891
You can do that and you can have crowds and people build ministries on that stuff and there are big churches all over town that major in that.

00:46:10.891 --> 00:46:15.547
But you've got to let that go.

00:46:15.547 --> 00:46:23.548
You can't walk in that kind of deceit and craftiness and manipulation and chintziness.

00:46:23.548 --> 00:46:39.831
I mean, look, if your shtick is to drive a motorcycle up the center aisle of the church and ride up on the platform steps and get off in your colors and you're going to preach that day, if that's your shtick, god, what are you going to do next week?

00:46:39.831 --> 00:46:47.373
You know, if that's your stick, good God, what are you going to do next week and the week after that and the week after that to get people manipulated?

00:46:50.539 --> 00:46:52.005
You remember that we went to this one thing.

00:46:52.005 --> 00:46:52.768
I thought, dear God.

00:46:52.768 --> 00:46:54.092
I said I leaned over to one guy.

00:46:54.092 --> 00:46:56.007
I said there's nothing left here but elephants.

00:46:56.007 --> 00:47:01.126
I mean they had motorcycles, they had cars, they had bands they had you know.

00:47:01.126 --> 00:47:02.094
I mean they had motorcycles, they had cars, they had bands they had.

00:47:02.094 --> 00:47:02.092
You know.

00:47:02.092 --> 00:47:04.931
I mean they had everything in the kitchen sink.

00:47:04.931 --> 00:47:06.559
Coming to bring people.

00:47:06.559 --> 00:47:09.871
I said the only thing we need here to complete this circus is some elephants.

00:47:09.871 --> 00:47:14.545
I said I'm going home.

00:47:14.545 --> 00:47:16.045
No, brother, you got to preach.

00:47:16.045 --> 00:47:18.027
I said I'm not preaching after all of this.

00:47:18.027 --> 00:47:18.588
I said you got to.

00:47:18.588 --> 00:47:23.097
I said I'm not preaching after all of this.

00:47:23.097 --> 00:47:27.639
I said you got to, I got up there and I let it go in the Holy Ghost.

00:47:27.639 --> 00:47:35.442
And there were people that came up after me and said thank God, you finally said something for Jesus, thank you know.

00:47:35.442 --> 00:47:40.983
There were people that came up and begged for more Because they'd been.

00:47:40.983 --> 00:47:42.987
You know it was just a sideshow.

00:47:42.987 --> 00:47:43.829
I couldn't believe it.

00:47:43.829 --> 00:47:45.512
Glory to God.

00:47:46.179 --> 00:47:49.306
Sometimes it's just the people, though not necessarily ministers.

00:47:51.692 --> 00:47:52.052
You think?

00:47:52.599 --> 00:47:59.806
Well, I went to a service one time, but we did, and who's the guy that has the Ministry of Laughter?

00:48:00.889 --> 00:48:01.632
Rodney Howard Brown.

00:48:02.621 --> 00:48:06.150
He's excellent at it, but he doesn't do it all the time.

00:48:06.449 --> 00:48:07.311
He doesn't do it himself.

00:48:09.063 --> 00:48:12.626
And so three or four weeks after he left we went to a service over there.

00:48:12.626 --> 00:48:19.773
The lady was speaking and different people in the congregation were trying to make something happen.

00:48:19.773 --> 00:48:22.228
And I'm thinking God, they're being rude to this lady.

00:48:22.802 --> 00:48:25.210
Because they caught on to the thing.

00:48:25.210 --> 00:48:31.650
And it is true, sometimes people will get caught up into something and try to reproduce it.

00:48:31.650 --> 00:48:39.050
You know, and it's, it's sad, it is, you know, it just tells you.

00:48:39.050 --> 00:48:39.807
You know it's sad, it is, you know it.

00:48:39.807 --> 00:48:40.007
Just.

00:48:40.007 --> 00:48:46.447
You know you just need to be, you need to be real in God.

00:48:46.447 --> 00:48:55.146
You know you need to be real in God and and just let all the the shtick stuff go.

00:48:55.146 --> 00:48:57.126
You know, just let it go.

00:48:57.126 --> 00:48:59.746
You know none of that stuff's gonna last.

00:48:59.746 --> 00:49:01.987
The gold dust doesn't last, the gold teeth doesn't last.

00:49:01.987 --> 00:49:02.840
Know none of that stuff's going to last.

00:49:02.840 --> 00:49:03.521
The gold dust doesn't last, the gold teeth doesn't last.

00:49:03.521 --> 00:49:05.222
You know none of that stuff lasts.

00:49:06.925 --> 00:49:15.706
Huh, oh dancers, yeah, dancers, some of them go.

00:49:15.706 --> 00:49:16.809
Honey, you need to go home.

00:49:16.809 --> 00:49:25.565
Oh, word of God, who told you you look good in that?

00:49:25.565 --> 00:49:28.932
Praise the Lord, hallelujah, hallelujah.

00:49:28.932 --> 00:49:31.282
But people will.

00:49:31.864 --> 00:49:38.786
You know, there's so much, and obviously it was happening in Paul's day or he wouldn't have addressed it.

00:49:38.786 --> 00:49:46.007
But he said there was greed, people were seeking after positions of fame instead of glory.

00:49:46.007 --> 00:49:49.682
It's the same.

00:49:49.682 --> 00:49:56.130
You can seek after numbers, you can seek after music programs, you can seek after all kinds of stuff.

00:49:57.541 --> 00:50:00.746
But if you don't seek after the glory, you're resisting it.

00:50:00.746 --> 00:50:05.014
And if you're after the glory, you're resisting it.

00:50:05.014 --> 00:50:15.128
And if you're resisting the glory, then you're doing the same thing Israel did, and the punishment for that is to be placed under the condemnation of the law.

00:50:15.128 --> 00:50:27.047
You won't hear anybody else preach this, but it's so clear here in these scriptures that the punishment for resisting is the condemnation of the law.

00:50:27.047 --> 00:50:30.148
You say well, we're Christians, we're not under that.

00:50:30.148 --> 00:50:31.706
You are if you resist the glory.

00:50:31.706 --> 00:50:39.927
You are if you resist the glory and you're not pursuing the transformation of glory unto glory.

00:50:41.744 --> 00:50:42.608
There is no middle ground.

00:50:42.608 --> 00:50:45.047
You're either doing that or you're under condemnation.

00:50:45.047 --> 00:51:05.445
And that's why, folks, that's why, because people are constantly under condemnation because they're not pursuing the glory, that you can get away with churches that get the same people saved week after week after week and they got no message but that message.

00:51:05.445 --> 00:51:07.690
And why does it work?

00:51:07.690 --> 00:51:16.420
Because they're not pursuing glory and they're constantly under condemnation, so people never know whether they're saved or not.

00:51:16.420 --> 00:51:23.306
That's why you can get a whole many denominations and they'll just flat out tell you we don't know if we're going to heaven or not.

00:51:23.306 --> 00:51:30.065
It all depends on whether we do one more good thing than bad Folks.

00:51:30.065 --> 00:51:35.829
If that's not a ministry of condemnation, I don't know what is.

00:51:37.838 --> 00:51:39.567
I've heard several people say that at work.

00:51:39.567 --> 00:51:44.610
I hope, when it all comes out, that I've got more good things than good bad things.

00:51:47.960 --> 00:51:56.510
But you know, but folks that you know, they come by that honest, because a lot of those people have come out of denominations and churches.

00:51:56.510 --> 00:52:04.601
That's what they believe, that's what they teach, and if they don't publicly state that's what they believe, that's what they teach, and if they don't publicly state that's what they believe and teach, that's what they practice.

00:52:04.601 --> 00:52:12.902
Or else they preach a different message on Sundays, but they preach the same old message and the same people go down week after week after week.

00:52:12.902 --> 00:52:16.621
How many times are you going to get saved?

00:52:16.621 --> 00:52:21.463
Glory to God, hallelujah, praise the Lord.

00:52:21.463 --> 00:52:23.630
As many times as it takes, I guess.

00:52:25.059 --> 00:52:26.244
Praise the name of Jesus.

00:52:26.244 --> 00:52:28.130
We'll pick this up next time, father.

00:52:28.130 --> 00:52:30.110
We just pray in the mighty name of Jesus.

00:52:30.110 --> 00:52:38.429
The words that you spoke here tonight will be real words for us, of transformation, leading us into a place, god, we've never been before.

00:52:38.429 --> 00:52:49.202
We don't want to keep going around Sinai and keep going around the same old thing and eating the same old food and wearing the same old clothes and just doing the same old, same old same.

00:52:49.202 --> 00:53:05.016
Lead us into a place of newness, god, of revelation, of transformation, of unbelievable, exciting adventures in you, lord, we just praise you and give you glory in Jesus' name.

00:53:05.016 --> 00:53:07.541
Thank you, lord, praise God.
