00:00:00.201 --> 00:00:04.892
Praise the Lord, hallelujah, thank you, jesus, praise God.
00:00:04.892 --> 00:00:07.746
Let's turn to 2 Corinthians.
00:00:07.746 --> 00:00:10.592
Let's go back a little bit to chapter 3.
00:00:10.592 --> 00:00:47.085
We're about to close up this section of study on the spirit of glory, the spirit of ministry, and we've been into this section of Scripture for several weeks and I thought, before we turn the page and go to another, that there was so much here that we probably needed just to review it a little bit before we move on, because this is some of the most important things that we've studied so far.
00:00:47.085 --> 00:00:55.354
Hallelujah, praise God, thank you, jesus.
00:00:59.101 --> 00:01:24.412
In chapter 3 of 2nd Corinthians, paul starts off this, this, this subject of the glory, by doing a comparison of the glory that that comes out and and I want you to understand something about the early church the early church had a revelation of this.
00:01:24.412 --> 00:01:40.512
Paul is writing to Christians, he is writing this letter to the Corinthians and he is talking to people who he has trained.
00:01:40.512 --> 00:01:51.766
So if Paul had a revelation of the glory, you can expect that he would pass that on and train the disciples.
00:01:51.766 --> 00:01:57.283
Now, remember, we've talked about this he spent a long time a year and a half, I believe in Corinth.
00:01:57.283 --> 00:01:58.867
So I mean, he just wasn't.
00:01:58.867 --> 00:02:08.894
You know, he didn't spend a year and a half probably meeting several times a week with the disciples in that city and telling them that God loved them.
00:02:08.894 --> 00:02:15.052
You know every service you know and just keep you know the same thing.
00:02:15.052 --> 00:02:28.854
No, after a year and a half he got into the deep things of God and passed on this revelation, imparted this revelation concerning the glory to them, hallelujah.
00:02:28.854 --> 00:02:39.454
So he starts this discussion off in verse 5.
00:02:39.454 --> 00:02:48.622
He says this Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God.
00:02:48.622 --> 00:03:00.230
He makes this kind of statement several times throughout this discussion, all the way over to verse 7 or 8 in chapter 4.
00:03:00.230 --> 00:03:15.967
He makes this point that whatever we're talking about here, whatever we're talking about here, whatever we're talking about concerning this glory, you've got to understand that this glory has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with God.
00:03:15.967 --> 00:03:40.651
The key verse in all of this, I believe, is verse 6 in chapter 4, where it says that God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, in other words, god who caused the universe to be created and brought His light into that universe, now shines in our heart.
00:03:40.651 --> 00:03:47.450
So something has happened in the new creation.
00:03:47.450 --> 00:03:58.126
Something has happened when Jesus was raised from the dead, that what he had in Him is now able to be multiplied in us.
00:03:58.126 --> 00:04:01.948
And that which he had in Him was the glory.
00:04:07.659 --> 00:04:17.444
And Paul and the others taught the early Christians that they were vessels of glory, that they were the dispensers of that glory here in the earth.
00:04:17.444 --> 00:04:25.786
So they learned that and they learned in the lessons that they taught about Jesus, not just what Jesus did, but how he did it.
00:04:25.786 --> 00:04:43.610
Because John wrote in the second chapter of John, after the miracle of the water being turned into wine, he said this was the first of the signs by which the disciples saw the glory of the Lord.
00:04:43.610 --> 00:04:48.430
In fact, what they say is that the glory of the Lord was revealed.
00:04:48.430 --> 00:04:55.709
So in the miracle, the glory was revealed, and the early church learned this.
00:04:55.709 --> 00:05:01.524
They learned this from the disciples who had spent time with Jesus and knew these things.
00:05:01.524 --> 00:05:04.132
Here's Peter, james and John.
00:05:04.132 --> 00:05:11.850
Of course, james didn't live very long, but Peter and John, who had been with Jesus on the mountain, they saw the glory, they stepped into the glory.
00:05:13.081 --> 00:05:29.403
Paul back to verse 5, says that we're not sufficient of ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit, for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
00:05:29.403 --> 00:05:48.052
Now here's the first point that I want to make in reviewing is that not only are we talking in this verse about the letter of the law of Moses, but we're talking also about the letter of any written word of God.
00:05:48.052 --> 00:05:52.321
Okay, you can take this Bible.
00:05:52.321 --> 00:05:58.870
Somebody that doesn't know doesn't have the Holy Ghost and doesn't really.
00:05:58.870 --> 00:06:01.987
It's not spiritual.
00:06:01.987 --> 00:06:11.276
They may be a believer, but they're not a spiritual believer.
00:06:11.276 --> 00:06:13.341
Do you understand?
00:06:13.362 --> 00:06:16.516
There's a difference between people who believe in the flesh and in the consent of their mind.
00:06:16.516 --> 00:06:28.427
Remember, the great crusades of the 50s and 60s were all about people making a decision Make a decision for Christ.
00:06:28.427 --> 00:06:30.927
Well, what makes decisions in your life?
00:06:30.927 --> 00:06:32.958
Your mind.
00:06:32.958 --> 00:06:35.108
Your mind makes the decisions.
00:06:35.108 --> 00:06:41.649
Your will submits, but your mind makes a decision.
00:06:41.649 --> 00:06:48.802
Now, whether or not your will follows what your mind made the decision about is a whole other question altogether.
00:06:48.802 --> 00:06:55.411
You may sit there and raise your hand and say I give my life to Jesus, but did you really?
00:06:55.411 --> 00:07:00.129
I mean, the statistics are abysmal.
00:07:00.129 --> 00:07:11.071
Out of those crusades, like 1-2% of the people that signed cards and came forward were still serving the Lord some years later.
00:07:11.071 --> 00:07:18.125
So there was a lot of difference between making a decision and submitting to the Lordship of Jesus.
00:07:19.267 --> 00:07:22.067
Now I'm not here to judge or anything else.
00:07:22.067 --> 00:07:39.769
I'm just telling you that in my walk and what I see, also in the Word of God, that there are people who are carnally minded and yet are still in the body.
00:07:39.769 --> 00:07:45.142
Let's put it that way they're still in, but they're not all the way in.
00:07:45.142 --> 00:07:48.666
They're those kind of people that go in and out, in and out, in and out, and they're not.
00:07:48.666 --> 00:07:56.069
They're not seeking after glory, they're just seeking after salvation.
00:07:56.069 --> 00:08:00.064
They just don't want to go to hell, they just don't want to be a bad person.
00:08:00.064 --> 00:08:03.451
You know, I'm done being a bad person.
00:08:03.451 --> 00:08:04.531
I'm going to live for Jesus.
00:08:04.531 --> 00:08:10.326
Well, living for Jesus is a whole lot more complicated than giving up bad habits.
00:08:10.326 --> 00:08:17.511
I'm sorry, but it's deeper than that.
00:08:19.874 --> 00:08:34.144
So, saying this again, you can read this Bible until Jesus comes back, and if the Spirit of God doesn't teach you what's on these pages, you don't have life yet.
00:08:34.144 --> 00:08:42.284
You don't have the kind of life that Jesus wants to impart to you, which is a glorious life, it's a life full of glory.
00:08:42.284 --> 00:08:52.461
You won't have that until the Spirit begins to teach you Hello, now, this is not what we've been taught.
00:08:52.461 --> 00:08:54.145
See, we've been taught that.
00:08:54.145 --> 00:08:56.782
You know, well, you just got to read it and you got to read it and you got to read it.
00:08:56.782 --> 00:09:00.292
Memorize parts of it, you know, just read it, read it, read it.
00:09:00.399 --> 00:09:01.822
I believe in reading, reading, reading.
00:09:01.822 --> 00:09:07.913
I believe in that, but I also believe in reading and stopping and letting the Holy Ghost teach me.
00:09:07.913 --> 00:09:22.479
I believe in you know, I may set out to read a chapter and I may not get past two verses, and the Holy Ghost wants to have a discussion, because there's always things that he knows about this Word that you don't know.
00:09:22.479 --> 00:09:31.937
He knows to whom it was being spoken, why it was being spoken that way, why it was chosen by him to be included in the book.
00:09:31.937 --> 00:09:41.269
Do you realize I mean, I've used this scripture many times what John said about all the books that could be written, about the things that Jesus both said and did?
00:09:41.269 --> 00:09:44.350
But do you not know that the same thing could be said about Paul?
00:09:44.350 --> 00:09:46.188
The same thing could be said about Paul.
00:09:46.188 --> 00:09:47.254
The same thing could be said about John.
00:09:47.275 --> 00:10:04.480
We have very little written evidence in Scripture concerning the moments in between episodes, and how many words did Paul speak that didn't get recorded?
00:10:04.480 --> 00:10:10.759
How many words did Paul speak that didn't get recorded?
00:10:10.759 --> 00:10:18.740
You know how many words were out there that John spoke in his 90-some years that didn't get recorded?
00:10:18.740 --> 00:10:20.546
Or his deeds?
00:10:20.546 --> 00:10:27.149
I mean there are some recorded things that he did, but I mean, you know, not everything that he did was written down.
00:10:27.149 --> 00:10:29.303
Same thing with Jesus.
00:10:29.303 --> 00:10:51.250
I mean, this is just life, and what the Spirit can do to you is teach you about those moments that are somewhat in between, why Paul got to this point, why John got to this point, why they said what they did, why he had them write what they did instead of writing something else.
00:10:51.250 --> 00:11:06.308
You'll notice the Gospel of John is totally different than the other Gospels, but there was at least a 30-year, if not more, gap between the time that Matthew, mark and Luke were written and John was written.
00:11:06.308 --> 00:11:15.068
These things were written by different apostles.
00:11:15.068 --> 00:11:23.389
Even though Mark and Luke were not the first generation of apostles, they traveled with those that did so.
00:11:23.389 --> 00:11:25.825
The gospel of Mark is really the gospel of Peter.
00:11:25.825 --> 00:11:30.147
The gospel of Luke is really the gospel of Paul.
00:11:30.147 --> 00:11:33.610
But God is the one that teaches you these things.
00:11:33.610 --> 00:11:35.157
Now I'll give you an example.
00:11:35.197 --> 00:11:54.144
The modern thinking is that Paul did not write the book of Hebrews and there's stylistic differences and there's stuff like that that they go into and they do all that analytical stuff and things like that.
00:11:54.144 --> 00:11:58.488
The King James Version says the epistle of Paul to the Hebrews.
00:11:58.488 --> 00:12:03.630
The modern translations just say the epistle to the Hebrews.
00:12:03.630 --> 00:12:07.330
All of them are wrong because it wasn't written to the Hebrews.
00:12:07.330 --> 00:12:14.491
There's not a single line in the book that says it was written to the Hebrews.
00:12:14.491 --> 00:12:16.788
Now, see, the Holy Ghost had to tell me that.
00:12:16.788 --> 00:12:25.153
See, you can look at the chapter and the debate is funny.
00:12:25.153 --> 00:12:26.856
What people debate about?
00:12:26.856 --> 00:12:37.284
They debate about whether it was written by Paul or not written by Paul, but the real thing to debate about is who it's written to.
00:12:41.341 --> 00:12:48.851
Now, if you do, I haven't done this analysis, but the Lord led me to read this book of somebody that did this analysis.
00:12:48.851 --> 00:13:02.153
That did the analysis of how the books of the New Testament, or at least the letters of Paul, got in the Bible and how that all started.
00:13:02.153 --> 00:13:28.245
Their position, based on a lot of different analysis, is that the basic set of letters that Paul started with in sending around to all the churches was Romans, galatians, corinthians and Hebrews, and that was what he sent to all of the churches, bound up in a book.
00:13:28.245 --> 00:13:33.888
Everything else comes after that.
00:13:33.888 --> 00:13:47.466
Okay, well, that tells me, first of all, that Paul wrote Hebrews, but that wasn't where I.
00:13:47.779 --> 00:13:50.284
The Lord told me that, and the Lord told me this.
00:13:50.284 --> 00:14:12.138
He said in all of this, he said you can think a lot about all the reasons and everything, but the one thing you need to understand is that Paul was the only one who could bring that revelation, just like Paul was the only one that could bring the revelation in Romans, and there's no doubt that he wrote Romans.
00:14:12.138 --> 00:14:15.879
Well, hebrews is just like Romans, chapter 2.
00:14:15.879 --> 00:14:20.818
It's just here's Romans, here's Hebrews.
00:14:20.818 --> 00:14:22.222
Everything else is in between.
00:14:22.222 --> 00:14:31.634
They are the most important and the Lord told me this.
00:14:31.634 --> 00:14:36.977
Nobody else spent the time with the resurrected Jesus that Paul did.
00:14:36.977 --> 00:14:44.778
There was no one else I could have ever given this revelation to that would have done anything with it.
00:14:44.778 --> 00:14:50.902
I mean, there's all kinds of theories about well, maybe it was Apollos, and maybe it was this and maybe it was that.
00:14:50.902 --> 00:14:53.296
Well, we don't have any written evidence of Apollos.
00:14:53.296 --> 00:14:55.201
We don't even know if he could write his name.
00:14:55.201 --> 00:15:01.938
There was nobody quite like Paul.
00:15:01.938 --> 00:15:08.038
To him was given most of the New Testament and it definitely was given the book of Hebrews.
00:15:08.038 --> 00:15:11.096
Anyway, I'm just pointing that out.
00:15:12.375 --> 00:15:18.649
You can read a lot of information, and to people that aren't spiritual, this book is a book of information.
00:15:18.649 --> 00:15:23.710
And to people that aren't spiritual, this book is a book of information.
00:15:23.710 --> 00:15:27.570
It may teach you how the Lord expects you to live.
00:15:27.570 --> 00:15:31.769
That's a good thing to know.
00:15:31.769 --> 00:15:37.701
It may teach you what the Lord has done for you in the person of Jesus and how he sent Him and all those things that everybody knows and believes.
00:15:37.701 --> 00:15:39.874
And they stop there.
00:15:39.874 --> 00:15:55.573
They stop at the first reading of the Scriptures and just process the information, like you're reading a history book and then when you get to the end of the history book, you're done with that course.
00:15:55.654 --> 00:16:07.035
And now I'm just going to read my favorite Scriptures from now every once in a while and not let the Holy Ghost bring life to the letter.
00:16:07.035 --> 00:16:16.681
If you don't let the Holy Ghost bring life to the letter, then this scripture tells you that the letter kills but the Spirit gives life.
00:16:16.681 --> 00:16:27.015
Now, that doesn't mean that the letter is going to jump off the page and kill you, but it's going to choke out what little life comes by these words.
00:16:27.015 --> 00:16:31.316
Amen, john said this.
00:16:31.316 --> 00:16:37.921
These things are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and believing have life in His name.
00:16:37.921 --> 00:16:42.370
But you've got to get past the letters.
00:16:42.370 --> 00:16:52.960
The letters will lead you to believe, but believing will lead you to the Spirit if you seek Him.
00:16:52.960 --> 00:17:01.181
But people that don't have the Spirit can't, and so they are content with the letter.
00:17:01.181 --> 00:17:12.279
But the letter without the Spirit is a sure sentence for letting your faith deteriorate.
00:17:14.455 --> 00:17:20.375
If I'm making this clear, well, without the Spirit to the people who don't have it, it's just a lot of it's foolishness.
00:17:20.375 --> 00:17:27.163
A lot of it they just gloss over because they can't understand it.
00:17:27.163 --> 00:17:49.784
And what they don't understand they try to spin in some other way that makes it easy to understand, instead of allowing the Spirit to take you a little deeper and start to teach you how to understand deep things.
00:17:49.784 --> 00:17:57.864
How many people, the first time you read through the bulk of the New Testament, understood it?
00:17:57.864 --> 00:18:01.335
You didn't understand it.
00:18:01.335 --> 00:18:04.459
You might have been able to pass a test on the facts.
00:18:04.459 --> 00:18:12.859
You may have been able to tell okay, I know this and I know this and I know this.
00:18:12.859 --> 00:18:18.276
You can do that by going to Sunday school for a while.
00:18:18.276 --> 00:18:29.170
But this Holy Ghost, this Spirit of glory, wants to teach you the deep things of glory.
00:18:29.170 --> 00:18:33.382
Because this gospel is a gospel of glory.
00:18:33.382 --> 00:18:36.680
That's the other key thing that we learn in chapter 4.
00:18:36.680 --> 00:18:42.853
That this gospel is a gospel of the glory of Christ.
00:18:42.853 --> 00:18:51.140
Amen, it's not anything else, but we showed this so many times.
00:18:51.200 --> 00:18:57.580
When Paul would start to preach, it wouldn't take him any time at all before he was into the resurrection and talking about the glory.
00:18:57.580 --> 00:19:01.204
Because this gospel is a gospel of glory.
00:19:01.204 --> 00:19:12.176
It's not a gospel about better living, it's not a gospel of improved habits, it's not a gospel of a new law.
00:19:12.176 --> 00:19:13.058
It's not any of that.
00:19:13.058 --> 00:19:14.303
It's a gospel of glory.
00:19:14.303 --> 00:19:17.111
Praise God, hallelujah, hallelujah.
00:19:17.111 --> 00:19:37.601
And then Paul does this interesting comparison to illustrate that the law that was written in stone is different than the law of life that is written in our hearts and the evidence of that.
00:19:38.172 --> 00:20:12.518
And it takes all the way through the remaining parts of chapter 3 into chapter 4 to emphasize this one point that Moses, when he came down off the mountain with the tablets of stone, the Bible says that these tablets of stone were glorious, that the law was glorious, that the law was given by God, but it could not impart eternal life and there was no life in it.
00:20:12.518 --> 00:20:23.119
However, because it was given by God, it had glory, but its glory was not permanent.
00:20:23.119 --> 00:20:30.615
Even as Moses was holding the tablets and coming down the mountain, the glory was fading.
00:20:30.615 --> 00:20:39.054
I mean, no sooner than he had left the presence of God, the glory was fading.
00:20:39.054 --> 00:20:44.958
Now people still talk like this and they think like this.
00:20:45.239 --> 00:20:56.310
Well, you know, when I was under the anointing it was just so powerful, but when I got out from the anointing it was like the glory was fading.
00:20:56.310 --> 00:21:04.759
Well, see, that's just New Testament thinking, but using Old Testament words.
00:21:04.759 --> 00:21:19.916
And I can't tell you I've been in this for a long time and I can't tell you how much of that persists, even among people who are very spiritual.
00:21:19.916 --> 00:21:46.096
Because it's just, it was the way that Pentecost talked, it was the way that everything that people came up through with you know, oral Roberts and all of those folks and then into the 60s, all of that experience was about being in the anointing, being under the anointing.
00:21:46.096 --> 00:21:51.001
But if you were under the anointing you could come out from under the anointing.
00:21:51.001 --> 00:21:56.997
And if you were under the anointing and you didn't do the right things, then that anointing would disappear.
00:21:58.170 --> 00:22:00.679
And I'm thinking that's just like Moses.
00:22:00.679 --> 00:22:09.262
If this glory is real in us, there should be none of that.
00:22:09.262 --> 00:22:16.121
You may get tired, but you're going to wake up in glory.
00:22:16.121 --> 00:22:20.484
You may get weak, but you're going to wake up in glory.
00:22:20.484 --> 00:22:21.670
You may get weak, but you're going to wake up in glory.
00:22:21.670 --> 00:22:27.413
This glory is greater than anything your body can feel.
00:22:27.413 --> 00:22:32.096
And if it's not, then what we preach is false.
00:22:32.096 --> 00:22:38.021
If we have to go in and out of this glory, we're no better than Moses.
00:22:38.021 --> 00:22:45.718
And if we come out of it and it starts to fade and we just become mere men, then we are no better than Moses.
00:22:45.718 --> 00:22:58.519
And we're no better than Isaiah, who said I saw the Lord high and lifted up and his train filled the temple, but you know he didn't stay like that when he came home.
00:22:58.519 --> 00:23:01.211
You know there was Mrs Isaiah waiting for him to take out the trash and milk the temple, but he didn't stay like that.
00:23:01.211 --> 00:23:09.780
When he came home, there was Mrs Isaiah waiting for him to take out the trash and milk the cow, and he was just a mere man until the Spirit of the Lord came on him again.
00:23:09.780 --> 00:23:11.733
We're not like that.
00:23:13.058 --> 00:23:13.640
And Paul?
00:23:13.640 --> 00:23:19.476
This is one of the most important sections of Scripture, because Paul tells us.
00:23:19.476 --> 00:23:21.181
We are not Moses.
00:23:21.181 --> 00:23:27.316
Remember, I preached you this message that we are not Lazarus, we're not like Lazarus.
00:23:27.316 --> 00:23:31.155
Lazarus was raised from the dead after four days, praise God.
00:23:31.155 --> 00:23:36.799
But he was raised from the dead and had to die again because death was still in him.
00:23:36.799 --> 00:23:38.736
And we are not that way.
00:23:38.736 --> 00:23:47.315
We have been raised up into a different resurrection and we don't have to die Now.
00:23:47.315 --> 00:23:53.224
We may grow old and we may pass out of this realm of existence, but that doesn't mean that you're going to die and go to death.
00:23:53.224 --> 00:24:04.377
You're just going to go into a different realm of life and you can lay it down and you can pick it back up just the way Jesus did Amen.
00:24:04.377 --> 00:24:07.401
But you don't have to go the way of the grave.
00:24:07.401 --> 00:24:13.105
You know the way that they did in the Old Testament before Jesus came.
00:24:13.105 --> 00:24:18.678
But if you don't have that revelation, then that's all you got.
00:24:18.678 --> 00:24:21.309
You know, if you don't have that, if you don't have that revelation, then that's all you got.
00:24:21.309 --> 00:24:30.817
You know, if you don't have that, if you don't have the revelation, that this glory doesn't have to fade and it really.
00:24:30.980 --> 00:24:41.529
Listen to me very carefully when the Lord comes into you and takes up occupancy into you and takes up occupancy.
00:24:41.529 --> 00:24:48.798
There are, no doubt, things that you can do to improve your communication with Him and to improve the way that he manifests in you.
00:24:48.798 --> 00:24:50.162
I have no doubt about that.
00:24:50.162 --> 00:24:52.836
All sorts of things that you need to do.
00:24:52.836 --> 00:25:00.416
You need to pray, you need to seek God, you need to read the words, you need to let the Spirit work in you, you need to talk to you, develop a communication with the Lord.
00:25:00.416 --> 00:25:03.453
All these things are extremely important.
00:25:03.935 --> 00:25:08.199
But listen, folks, if you don't do that on Monday, he's not gone on Tuesday.
00:25:08.199 --> 00:25:12.298
It is not like Moses.
00:25:12.298 --> 00:25:16.101
You can't get rid of this Holy Ghost.
00:25:16.101 --> 00:25:21.381
I mean, once he comes in, folks, do you think he's just going to be?
00:25:21.381 --> 00:25:23.256
Oh, you didn't pray enough today.
00:25:23.256 --> 00:25:25.037
I'm going to go home and be with my daddy.
00:25:25.037 --> 00:25:28.404
You know, I'm going to go back to heaven because you're just so.
00:25:28.404 --> 00:25:29.490
You're just such a bad boy.
00:25:29.830 --> 00:25:31.538
I mean, that's how Pentecost talks.
00:25:31.538 --> 00:25:38.035
It is how Pentecost talks and I don't care how you cut it All.
00:25:38.035 --> 00:25:42.085
It is how Pentecost talks and I don't care how you cut it.
00:25:42.085 --> 00:25:44.049
All of our roots go back to that.
00:25:44.049 --> 00:25:52.923
Everything that we came into came out of that, because everything whether we came through Pentecost or didn't come through Pentecost.
00:25:52.923 --> 00:26:01.726
That which came out in the 70s and 80s out of the Charismatic Revival came out of the Pentecostal experience.
00:26:01.726 --> 00:26:10.992
And so they learned the jargon, they learned the lingo, they learned the language and they learned the concepts, whether they were right or wrong.
00:26:10.992 --> 00:26:28.981
And so we learn this conceptual grasp of the anointing and the presence of God as something that can come and something that can go, something that can be here, something that cannot be here.
00:26:30.490 --> 00:26:41.181
I always, even when I didn't know anything about the Holy Ghost, I had trouble with that, because I just said you know, that doesn't sound right to me.
00:26:41.181 --> 00:26:47.836
If God's come in here to take up residence, he's not going to come and go.
00:26:47.836 --> 00:26:49.420
He's not like that.
00:26:49.420 --> 00:26:51.531
He's not.
00:26:51.531 --> 00:26:53.438
I mean, I've taught people this for years.
00:26:53.438 --> 00:26:59.336
I said listen, folks, you can't scare away the Holy Ghost with your sinning.
00:26:59.336 --> 00:27:02.480
The only thing you're going to do is drag him along and make him a witness.
00:27:02.480 --> 00:27:09.701
He's not going to get out of the car when you decide to go 100 miles an hour.
00:27:09.701 --> 00:27:13.940
He's going to bring a lot of angels with him to make sure you make it through.
00:27:13.940 --> 00:27:20.520
You know, I know this, I just know this.
00:27:20.520 --> 00:27:24.357
He'll never leave me or forsake me.
00:27:24.357 --> 00:27:27.176
He's never going to release his grip on me.
00:27:27.176 --> 00:27:28.661
He's just not going to do it.
00:27:28.661 --> 00:27:39.836
He can't do it, he would be a liar and he would be backing off of the great promise of God.
00:27:39.836 --> 00:27:45.441
That God made to Jesus is that if you lay your life down, you're going to pick it back up again.
00:27:45.441 --> 00:27:51.761
And not only are you going to pick it back up again, but you're going to pick it up for untold millions and billions of people.
00:27:51.761 --> 00:28:04.373
You know we can't make the Holy Ghost into Moses, but yet the church wants to do that, religion wants to do that.
00:28:04.373 --> 00:28:10.084
Hallelujah, praise God, thank you, jesus.
00:28:11.109 --> 00:28:27.961
So Paul goes into this and he says this that the ministry of death, the law, was written and engraved on stones, but it was glorious, but this glory was passing away.
00:28:27.961 --> 00:28:32.882
Now I want to remind you of what that word passing away means.
00:28:32.882 --> 00:28:35.598
It means to be abolished.
00:28:35.598 --> 00:28:49.578
It means to be idle, inactive, inoperative, deprive of force, cause to cease, pass away, put an end to be done away with.
00:28:49.578 --> 00:28:56.337
Severed from, separated from, discharged from, terminate all intercourse with.
00:28:56.337 --> 00:29:13.000
In other words, when the Bible says that this glory was passing away, it was something that God did to the law that caused the glory to be separated from it when God wasn't present.
00:29:13.430 --> 00:29:16.901
Now I want you to hear something real clearly.
00:29:16.901 --> 00:29:40.838
One of the reasons that God kept His presence among the people of Israel with the fire by night, the cloud by day, with the rock, with the manna, with the quail was so that His glory wouldn't be separated from the people, even though the tablets of the law were separated from His presence.
00:29:40.838 --> 00:29:43.596
Are you hearing what I'm just saying?
00:29:43.596 --> 00:29:45.401
This is real important.
00:29:45.401 --> 00:30:03.298
The tablets were glorious because they had been in the presence of God, but as they came down the mountain, their presence, the glory, was dissipating, the glory was passing away.
