Explore the transformative power of glory as we search the profound teachings of 2 Corinthians with a focus on spiritual enlightenment. Ever wondered how early Christians perceived themselves as vessels charged with sharing divine glory on earth? We promise you'll gain insights into Paul's revelation of divine sufficiency provided by God, contrasting human effort with the spiritual richness that comes from a deeper relationship with Jesus. By examining chapters 3 and 4, we reflect on the transformation enabled by Jesus' resurrection and the enduring glory of the new covenant, highlighting the essential role of the Holy Spirit in bringing scriptures to life.

Peel back the layers of biblical history and discover the enduring presence of God's glory through the ages. We challenge conventional interpretations by emphasizing that God's glory persists beyond physical manifestations and spiritual experiences, offering a fresh perspective on how the gospel transcends mere moral improvement. Through vivid anecdotes, we illustrate how believers are not meant to fluctuate in and out of glory, but rather, to experience a constant transformative journey with the Spirit, drawing on the contrast between the fading glory of the old covenant and the enduring promise of the new.

Rediscover your divine identity and purpose as we explore humanity's role as vessels of God's glory. From the forgotten identity caused by Adam's sin to the spoken word's power in the early church, we highlight the significance of recognizing and embracing the living Word within us. This conversation invites a return to understanding our roles as vessels of glory, urging listeners to express this divine presence without hesitation. Join us in challenging the historical distortions and embracing a dynamic relationship with God's ever-present glory. Hallelujah, praise God!

00:00:00.201 --> 00:00:04.892
Praise the Lord, hallelujah, thank you, jesus, praise God.

00:00:04.892 --> 00:00:07.746
Let's turn to 2 Corinthians.

00:00:07.746 --> 00:00:10.592
Let's go back a little bit to chapter 3.

00:00:10.592 --> 00:00:47.085
We're about to close up this section of study on the spirit of glory, the spirit of ministry, and we've been into this section of Scripture for several weeks and I thought, before we turn the page and go to another, that there was so much here that we probably needed just to review it a little bit before we move on, because this is some of the most important things that we've studied so far.

00:00:47.085 --> 00:00:55.354
Hallelujah, praise God, thank you, jesus.

00:00:59.101 --> 00:01:24.412
In chapter 3 of 2nd Corinthians, paul starts off this, this, this subject of the glory, by doing a comparison of the glory that that comes out and and I want you to understand something about the early church the early church had a revelation of this.

00:01:24.412 --> 00:01:40.512
Paul is writing to Christians, he is writing this letter to the Corinthians and he is talking to people who he has trained.

00:01:40.512 --> 00:01:51.766
So if Paul had a revelation of the glory, you can expect that he would pass that on and train the disciples.

00:01:51.766 --> 00:01:57.283
Now, remember, we've talked about this he spent a long time a year and a half, I believe in Corinth.

00:01:57.283 --> 00:01:58.867
So I mean, he just wasn't.

00:01:58.867 --> 00:02:08.894
You know, he didn't spend a year and a half probably meeting several times a week with the disciples in that city and telling them that God loved them.

00:02:08.894 --> 00:02:15.052
You know every service you know and just keep you know the same thing.

00:02:15.052 --> 00:02:28.854
No, after a year and a half he got into the deep things of God and passed on this revelation, imparted this revelation concerning the glory to them, hallelujah.

00:02:28.854 --> 00:02:39.454
So he starts this discussion off in verse 5.

00:02:39.454 --> 00:02:48.622
He says this Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God.

00:02:48.622 --> 00:03:00.230
He makes this kind of statement several times throughout this discussion, all the way over to verse 7 or 8 in chapter 4.

00:03:00.230 --> 00:03:15.967
He makes this point that whatever we're talking about here, whatever we're talking about here, whatever we're talking about concerning this glory, you've got to understand that this glory has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with God.

00:03:15.967 --> 00:03:40.651
The key verse in all of this, I believe, is verse 6 in chapter 4, where it says that God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, in other words, god who caused the universe to be created and brought His light into that universe, now shines in our heart.

00:03:40.651 --> 00:03:47.450
So something has happened in the new creation.

00:03:47.450 --> 00:03:58.126
Something has happened when Jesus was raised from the dead, that what he had in Him is now able to be multiplied in us.

00:03:58.126 --> 00:04:01.948
And that which he had in Him was the glory.

00:04:07.659 --> 00:04:17.444
And Paul and the others taught the early Christians that they were vessels of glory, that they were the dispensers of that glory here in the earth.

00:04:17.444 --> 00:04:25.786
So they learned that and they learned in the lessons that they taught about Jesus, not just what Jesus did, but how he did it.

00:04:25.786 --> 00:04:43.610
Because John wrote in the second chapter of John, after the miracle of the water being turned into wine, he said this was the first of the signs by which the disciples saw the glory of the Lord.

00:04:43.610 --> 00:04:48.430
In fact, what they say is that the glory of the Lord was revealed.

00:04:48.430 --> 00:04:55.709
So in the miracle, the glory was revealed, and the early church learned this.

00:04:55.709 --> 00:05:01.524
They learned this from the disciples who had spent time with Jesus and knew these things.

00:05:01.524 --> 00:05:04.132
Here's Peter, james and John.

00:05:04.132 --> 00:05:11.850
Of course, james didn't live very long, but Peter and John, who had been with Jesus on the mountain, they saw the glory, they stepped into the glory.

00:05:13.081 --> 00:05:29.403
Paul back to verse 5, says that we're not sufficient of ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit, for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

00:05:29.403 --> 00:05:48.052
Now here's the first point that I want to make in reviewing is that not only are we talking in this verse about the letter of the law of Moses, but we're talking also about the letter of any written word of God.

00:05:48.052 --> 00:05:52.321
Okay, you can take this Bible.

00:05:52.321 --> 00:05:58.870
Somebody that doesn't know doesn't have the Holy Ghost and doesn't really.

00:05:58.870 --> 00:06:01.987
It's not spiritual.

00:06:01.987 --> 00:06:11.276
They may be a believer, but they're not a spiritual believer.

00:06:11.276 --> 00:06:13.341
Do you understand?

00:06:13.362 --> 00:06:16.516
There's a difference between people who believe in the flesh and in the consent of their mind.

00:06:16.516 --> 00:06:28.427
Remember, the great crusades of the 50s and 60s were all about people making a decision Make a decision for Christ.

00:06:28.427 --> 00:06:30.927
Well, what makes decisions in your life?

00:06:30.927 --> 00:06:32.958
Your mind.

00:06:32.958 --> 00:06:35.108
Your mind makes the decisions.

00:06:35.108 --> 00:06:41.649
Your will submits, but your mind makes a decision.

00:06:41.649 --> 00:06:48.802
Now, whether or not your will follows what your mind made the decision about is a whole other question altogether.

00:06:48.802 --> 00:06:55.411
You may sit there and raise your hand and say I give my life to Jesus, but did you really?

00:06:55.411 --> 00:07:00.129
I mean, the statistics are abysmal.

00:07:00.129 --> 00:07:11.071
Out of those crusades, like 1-2% of the people that signed cards and came forward were still serving the Lord some years later.

00:07:11.071 --> 00:07:18.125
So there was a lot of difference between making a decision and submitting to the Lordship of Jesus.

00:07:19.267 --> 00:07:22.067
Now I'm not here to judge or anything else.

00:07:22.067 --> 00:07:39.769
I'm just telling you that in my walk and what I see, also in the Word of God, that there are people who are carnally minded and yet are still in the body.

00:07:39.769 --> 00:07:45.142
Let's put it that way they're still in, but they're not all the way in.

00:07:45.142 --> 00:07:48.666
They're those kind of people that go in and out, in and out, in and out, and they're not.

00:07:48.666 --> 00:07:56.069
They're not seeking after glory, they're just seeking after salvation.

00:07:56.069 --> 00:08:00.064
They just don't want to go to hell, they just don't want to be a bad person.

00:08:00.064 --> 00:08:03.451
You know, I'm done being a bad person.

00:08:03.451 --> 00:08:04.531
I'm going to live for Jesus.

00:08:04.531 --> 00:08:10.326
Well, living for Jesus is a whole lot more complicated than giving up bad habits.

00:08:10.326 --> 00:08:17.511
I'm sorry, but it's deeper than that.

00:08:19.874 --> 00:08:34.144
So, saying this again, you can read this Bible until Jesus comes back, and if the Spirit of God doesn't teach you what's on these pages, you don't have life yet.

00:08:34.144 --> 00:08:42.284
You don't have the kind of life that Jesus wants to impart to you, which is a glorious life, it's a life full of glory.

00:08:42.284 --> 00:08:52.461
You won't have that until the Spirit begins to teach you Hello, now, this is not what we've been taught.

00:08:52.461 --> 00:08:54.145
See, we've been taught that.

00:08:54.145 --> 00:08:56.782
You know, well, you just got to read it and you got to read it and you got to read it.

00:08:56.782 --> 00:09:00.292
Memorize parts of it, you know, just read it, read it, read it.

00:09:00.399 --> 00:09:01.822
I believe in reading, reading, reading.

00:09:01.822 --> 00:09:07.913
I believe in that, but I also believe in reading and stopping and letting the Holy Ghost teach me.

00:09:07.913 --> 00:09:22.479
I believe in you know, I may set out to read a chapter and I may not get past two verses, and the Holy Ghost wants to have a discussion, because there's always things that he knows about this Word that you don't know.

00:09:22.479 --> 00:09:31.937
He knows to whom it was being spoken, why it was being spoken that way, why it was chosen by him to be included in the book.

00:09:31.937 --> 00:09:41.269
Do you realize I mean, I've used this scripture many times what John said about all the books that could be written, about the things that Jesus both said and did?

00:09:41.269 --> 00:09:44.350
But do you not know that the same thing could be said about Paul?

00:09:44.350 --> 00:09:46.188
The same thing could be said about Paul.

00:09:46.188 --> 00:09:47.254
The same thing could be said about John.

00:09:47.275 --> 00:10:04.480
We have very little written evidence in Scripture concerning the moments in between episodes, and how many words did Paul speak that didn't get recorded?

00:10:04.480 --> 00:10:10.759
How many words did Paul speak that didn't get recorded?

00:10:10.759 --> 00:10:18.740
You know how many words were out there that John spoke in his 90-some years that didn't get recorded?

00:10:18.740 --> 00:10:20.546
Or his deeds?

00:10:20.546 --> 00:10:27.149
I mean there are some recorded things that he did, but I mean, you know, not everything that he did was written down.

00:10:27.149 --> 00:10:29.303
Same thing with Jesus.

00:10:29.303 --> 00:10:51.250
I mean, this is just life, and what the Spirit can do to you is teach you about those moments that are somewhat in between, why Paul got to this point, why John got to this point, why they said what they did, why he had them write what they did instead of writing something else.

00:10:51.250 --> 00:11:06.308
You'll notice the Gospel of John is totally different than the other Gospels, but there was at least a 30-year, if not more, gap between the time that Matthew, mark and Luke were written and John was written.

00:11:06.308 --> 00:11:15.068
These things were written by different apostles.

00:11:15.068 --> 00:11:23.389
Even though Mark and Luke were not the first generation of apostles, they traveled with those that did so.

00:11:23.389 --> 00:11:25.825
The gospel of Mark is really the gospel of Peter.

00:11:25.825 --> 00:11:30.147
The gospel of Luke is really the gospel of Paul.

00:11:30.147 --> 00:11:33.610
But God is the one that teaches you these things.

00:11:33.610 --> 00:11:35.157
Now I'll give you an example.

00:11:35.197 --> 00:11:54.144
The modern thinking is that Paul did not write the book of Hebrews and there's stylistic differences and there's stuff like that that they go into and they do all that analytical stuff and things like that.

00:11:54.144 --> 00:11:58.488
The King James Version says the epistle of Paul to the Hebrews.

00:11:58.488 --> 00:12:03.630
The modern translations just say the epistle to the Hebrews.

00:12:03.630 --> 00:12:07.330
All of them are wrong because it wasn't written to the Hebrews.

00:12:07.330 --> 00:12:14.491
There's not a single line in the book that says it was written to the Hebrews.

00:12:14.491 --> 00:12:16.788
Now, see, the Holy Ghost had to tell me that.

00:12:16.788 --> 00:12:25.153
See, you can look at the chapter and the debate is funny.

00:12:25.153 --> 00:12:26.856
What people debate about?

00:12:26.856 --> 00:12:37.284
They debate about whether it was written by Paul or not written by Paul, but the real thing to debate about is who it's written to.

00:12:41.341 --> 00:12:48.851
Now, if you do, I haven't done this analysis, but the Lord led me to read this book of somebody that did this analysis.

00:12:48.851 --> 00:13:02.153
That did the analysis of how the books of the New Testament, or at least the letters of Paul, got in the Bible and how that all started.

00:13:02.153 --> 00:13:28.245
Their position, based on a lot of different analysis, is that the basic set of letters that Paul started with in sending around to all the churches was Romans, galatians, corinthians and Hebrews, and that was what he sent to all of the churches, bound up in a book.

00:13:28.245 --> 00:13:33.888
Everything else comes after that.

00:13:33.888 --> 00:13:47.466
Okay, well, that tells me, first of all, that Paul wrote Hebrews, but that wasn't where I.

00:13:47.779 --> 00:13:50.284
The Lord told me that, and the Lord told me this.

00:13:50.284 --> 00:14:12.138
He said in all of this, he said you can think a lot about all the reasons and everything, but the one thing you need to understand is that Paul was the only one who could bring that revelation, just like Paul was the only one that could bring the revelation in Romans, and there's no doubt that he wrote Romans.

00:14:12.138 --> 00:14:15.879
Well, hebrews is just like Romans, chapter 2.

00:14:15.879 --> 00:14:20.818
It's just here's Romans, here's Hebrews.

00:14:20.818 --> 00:14:22.222
Everything else is in between.

00:14:22.222 --> 00:14:31.634
They are the most important and the Lord told me this.

00:14:31.634 --> 00:14:36.977
Nobody else spent the time with the resurrected Jesus that Paul did.

00:14:36.977 --> 00:14:44.778
There was no one else I could have ever given this revelation to that would have done anything with it.

00:14:44.778 --> 00:14:50.902
I mean, there's all kinds of theories about well, maybe it was Apollos, and maybe it was this and maybe it was that.

00:14:50.902 --> 00:14:53.296
Well, we don't have any written evidence of Apollos.

00:14:53.296 --> 00:14:55.201
We don't even know if he could write his name.

00:14:55.201 --> 00:15:01.938
There was nobody quite like Paul.

00:15:01.938 --> 00:15:08.038
To him was given most of the New Testament and it definitely was given the book of Hebrews.

00:15:08.038 --> 00:15:11.096
Anyway, I'm just pointing that out.

00:15:12.375 --> 00:15:18.649
You can read a lot of information, and to people that aren't spiritual, this book is a book of information.

00:15:18.649 --> 00:15:23.710
And to people that aren't spiritual, this book is a book of information.

00:15:23.710 --> 00:15:27.570
It may teach you how the Lord expects you to live.

00:15:27.570 --> 00:15:31.769
That's a good thing to know.

00:15:31.769 --> 00:15:37.701
It may teach you what the Lord has done for you in the person of Jesus and how he sent Him and all those things that everybody knows and believes.

00:15:37.701 --> 00:15:39.874
And they stop there.

00:15:39.874 --> 00:15:55.573
They stop at the first reading of the Scriptures and just process the information, like you're reading a history book and then when you get to the end of the history book, you're done with that course.

00:15:55.654 --> 00:16:07.035
And now I'm just going to read my favorite Scriptures from now every once in a while and not let the Holy Ghost bring life to the letter.

00:16:07.035 --> 00:16:16.681
If you don't let the Holy Ghost bring life to the letter, then this scripture tells you that the letter kills but the Spirit gives life.

00:16:16.681 --> 00:16:27.015
Now, that doesn't mean that the letter is going to jump off the page and kill you, but it's going to choke out what little life comes by these words.

00:16:27.015 --> 00:16:31.316
Amen, john said this.

00:16:31.316 --> 00:16:37.921
These things are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and believing have life in His name.

00:16:37.921 --> 00:16:42.370
But you've got to get past the letters.

00:16:42.370 --> 00:16:52.960
The letters will lead you to believe, but believing will lead you to the Spirit if you seek Him.

00:16:52.960 --> 00:17:01.181
But people that don't have the Spirit can't, and so they are content with the letter.

00:17:01.181 --> 00:17:12.279
But the letter without the Spirit is a sure sentence for letting your faith deteriorate.

00:17:14.455 --> 00:17:20.375
If I'm making this clear, well, without the Spirit to the people who don't have it, it's just a lot of it's foolishness.

00:17:20.375 --> 00:17:27.163
A lot of it they just gloss over because they can't understand it.

00:17:27.163 --> 00:17:49.784
And what they don't understand they try to spin in some other way that makes it easy to understand, instead of allowing the Spirit to take you a little deeper and start to teach you how to understand deep things.

00:17:49.784 --> 00:17:57.864
How many people, the first time you read through the bulk of the New Testament, understood it?

00:17:57.864 --> 00:18:01.335
You didn't understand it.

00:18:01.335 --> 00:18:04.459
You might have been able to pass a test on the facts.

00:18:04.459 --> 00:18:12.859
You may have been able to tell okay, I know this and I know this and I know this.

00:18:12.859 --> 00:18:18.276
You can do that by going to Sunday school for a while.

00:18:18.276 --> 00:18:29.170
But this Holy Ghost, this Spirit of glory, wants to teach you the deep things of glory.

00:18:29.170 --> 00:18:33.382
Because this gospel is a gospel of glory.

00:18:33.382 --> 00:18:36.680
That's the other key thing that we learn in chapter 4.

00:18:36.680 --> 00:18:42.853
That this gospel is a gospel of the glory of Christ.

00:18:42.853 --> 00:18:51.140
Amen, it's not anything else, but we showed this so many times.

00:18:51.200 --> 00:18:57.580
When Paul would start to preach, it wouldn't take him any time at all before he was into the resurrection and talking about the glory.

00:18:57.580 --> 00:19:01.204
Because this gospel is a gospel of glory.

00:19:01.204 --> 00:19:12.176
It's not a gospel about better living, it's not a gospel of improved habits, it's not a gospel of a new law.

00:19:12.176 --> 00:19:13.058
It's not any of that.

00:19:13.058 --> 00:19:14.303
It's a gospel of glory.

00:19:14.303 --> 00:19:17.111
Praise God, hallelujah, hallelujah.

00:19:17.111 --> 00:19:37.601
And then Paul does this interesting comparison to illustrate that the law that was written in stone is different than the law of life that is written in our hearts and the evidence of that.

00:19:38.172 --> 00:20:12.518
And it takes all the way through the remaining parts of chapter 3 into chapter 4 to emphasize this one point that Moses, when he came down off the mountain with the tablets of stone, the Bible says that these tablets of stone were glorious, that the law was glorious, that the law was given by God, but it could not impart eternal life and there was no life in it.

00:20:12.518 --> 00:20:23.119
However, because it was given by God, it had glory, but its glory was not permanent.

00:20:23.119 --> 00:20:30.615
Even as Moses was holding the tablets and coming down the mountain, the glory was fading.

00:20:30.615 --> 00:20:39.054
I mean, no sooner than he had left the presence of God, the glory was fading.

00:20:39.054 --> 00:20:44.958
Now people still talk like this and they think like this.

00:20:45.239 --> 00:20:56.310
Well, you know, when I was under the anointing it was just so powerful, but when I got out from the anointing it was like the glory was fading.

00:20:56.310 --> 00:21:04.759
Well, see, that's just New Testament thinking, but using Old Testament words.

00:21:04.759 --> 00:21:19.916
And I can't tell you I've been in this for a long time and I can't tell you how much of that persists, even among people who are very spiritual.

00:21:19.916 --> 00:21:46.096
Because it's just, it was the way that Pentecost talked, it was the way that everything that people came up through with you know, oral Roberts and all of those folks and then into the 60s, all of that experience was about being in the anointing, being under the anointing.

00:21:46.096 --> 00:21:51.001
But if you were under the anointing you could come out from under the anointing.

00:21:51.001 --> 00:21:56.997
And if you were under the anointing and you didn't do the right things, then that anointing would disappear.

00:21:58.170 --> 00:22:00.679
And I'm thinking that's just like Moses.

00:22:00.679 --> 00:22:09.262
If this glory is real in us, there should be none of that.

00:22:09.262 --> 00:22:16.121
You may get tired, but you're going to wake up in glory.

00:22:16.121 --> 00:22:20.484
You may get weak, but you're going to wake up in glory.

00:22:20.484 --> 00:22:21.670
You may get weak, but you're going to wake up in glory.

00:22:21.670 --> 00:22:27.413
This glory is greater than anything your body can feel.

00:22:27.413 --> 00:22:32.096
And if it's not, then what we preach is false.

00:22:32.096 --> 00:22:38.021
If we have to go in and out of this glory, we're no better than Moses.

00:22:38.021 --> 00:22:45.718
And if we come out of it and it starts to fade and we just become mere men, then we are no better than Moses.

00:22:45.718 --> 00:22:58.519
And we're no better than Isaiah, who said I saw the Lord high and lifted up and his train filled the temple, but you know he didn't stay like that when he came home.

00:22:58.519 --> 00:23:01.211
You know there was Mrs Isaiah waiting for him to take out the trash and milk the temple, but he didn't stay like that.

00:23:01.211 --> 00:23:09.780
When he came home, there was Mrs Isaiah waiting for him to take out the trash and milk the cow, and he was just a mere man until the Spirit of the Lord came on him again.

00:23:09.780 --> 00:23:11.733
We're not like that.

00:23:13.058 --> 00:23:13.640
And Paul?

00:23:13.640 --> 00:23:19.476
This is one of the most important sections of Scripture, because Paul tells us.

00:23:19.476 --> 00:23:21.181
We are not Moses.

00:23:21.181 --> 00:23:27.316
Remember, I preached you this message that we are not Lazarus, we're not like Lazarus.

00:23:27.316 --> 00:23:31.155
Lazarus was raised from the dead after four days, praise God.

00:23:31.155 --> 00:23:36.799
But he was raised from the dead and had to die again because death was still in him.

00:23:36.799 --> 00:23:38.736
And we are not that way.

00:23:38.736 --> 00:23:47.315
We have been raised up into a different resurrection and we don't have to die Now.

00:23:47.315 --> 00:23:53.224
We may grow old and we may pass out of this realm of existence, but that doesn't mean that you're going to die and go to death.

00:23:53.224 --> 00:24:04.377
You're just going to go into a different realm of life and you can lay it down and you can pick it back up just the way Jesus did Amen.

00:24:04.377 --> 00:24:07.401
But you don't have to go the way of the grave.

00:24:07.401 --> 00:24:13.105
You know the way that they did in the Old Testament before Jesus came.

00:24:13.105 --> 00:24:18.678
But if you don't have that revelation, then that's all you got.

00:24:18.678 --> 00:24:21.309
You know, if you don't have that, if you don't have that revelation, then that's all you got.

00:24:21.309 --> 00:24:30.817
You know, if you don't have that, if you don't have the revelation, that this glory doesn't have to fade and it really.

00:24:30.980 --> 00:24:41.529
Listen to me very carefully when the Lord comes into you and takes up occupancy into you and takes up occupancy.

00:24:41.529 --> 00:24:48.798
There are, no doubt, things that you can do to improve your communication with Him and to improve the way that he manifests in you.

00:24:48.798 --> 00:24:50.162
I have no doubt about that.

00:24:50.162 --> 00:24:52.836
All sorts of things that you need to do.

00:24:52.836 --> 00:25:00.416
You need to pray, you need to seek God, you need to read the words, you need to let the Spirit work in you, you need to talk to you, develop a communication with the Lord.

00:25:00.416 --> 00:25:03.453
All these things are extremely important.

00:25:03.935 --> 00:25:08.199
But listen, folks, if you don't do that on Monday, he's not gone on Tuesday.

00:25:08.199 --> 00:25:12.298
It is not like Moses.

00:25:12.298 --> 00:25:16.101
You can't get rid of this Holy Ghost.

00:25:16.101 --> 00:25:21.381
I mean, once he comes in, folks, do you think he's just going to be?

00:25:21.381 --> 00:25:23.256
Oh, you didn't pray enough today.

00:25:23.256 --> 00:25:25.037
I'm going to go home and be with my daddy.

00:25:25.037 --> 00:25:28.404
You know, I'm going to go back to heaven because you're just so.

00:25:28.404 --> 00:25:29.490
You're just such a bad boy.

00:25:29.830 --> 00:25:31.538
I mean, that's how Pentecost talks.

00:25:31.538 --> 00:25:38.035
It is how Pentecost talks and I don't care how you cut it All.

00:25:38.035 --> 00:25:42.085
It is how Pentecost talks and I don't care how you cut it.

00:25:42.085 --> 00:25:44.049
All of our roots go back to that.

00:25:44.049 --> 00:25:52.923
Everything that we came into came out of that, because everything whether we came through Pentecost or didn't come through Pentecost.

00:25:52.923 --> 00:26:01.726
That which came out in the 70s and 80s out of the Charismatic Revival came out of the Pentecostal experience.

00:26:01.726 --> 00:26:10.992
And so they learned the jargon, they learned the lingo, they learned the language and they learned the concepts, whether they were right or wrong.

00:26:10.992 --> 00:26:28.981
And so we learn this conceptual grasp of the anointing and the presence of God as something that can come and something that can go, something that can be here, something that cannot be here.

00:26:30.490 --> 00:26:41.181
I always, even when I didn't know anything about the Holy Ghost, I had trouble with that, because I just said you know, that doesn't sound right to me.

00:26:41.181 --> 00:26:47.836
If God's come in here to take up residence, he's not going to come and go.

00:26:47.836 --> 00:26:49.420
He's not like that.

00:26:49.420 --> 00:26:51.531
He's not.

00:26:51.531 --> 00:26:53.438
I mean, I've taught people this for years.

00:26:53.438 --> 00:26:59.336
I said listen, folks, you can't scare away the Holy Ghost with your sinning.

00:26:59.336 --> 00:27:02.480
The only thing you're going to do is drag him along and make him a witness.

00:27:02.480 --> 00:27:09.701
He's not going to get out of the car when you decide to go 100 miles an hour.

00:27:09.701 --> 00:27:13.940
He's going to bring a lot of angels with him to make sure you make it through.

00:27:13.940 --> 00:27:20.520
You know, I know this, I just know this.

00:27:20.520 --> 00:27:24.357
He'll never leave me or forsake me.

00:27:24.357 --> 00:27:27.176
He's never going to release his grip on me.

00:27:27.176 --> 00:27:28.661
He's just not going to do it.

00:27:28.661 --> 00:27:39.836
He can't do it, he would be a liar and he would be backing off of the great promise of God.

00:27:39.836 --> 00:27:45.441
That God made to Jesus is that if you lay your life down, you're going to pick it back up again.

00:27:45.441 --> 00:27:51.761
And not only are you going to pick it back up again, but you're going to pick it up for untold millions and billions of people.

00:27:51.761 --> 00:28:04.373
You know we can't make the Holy Ghost into Moses, but yet the church wants to do that, religion wants to do that.

00:28:04.373 --> 00:28:10.084
Hallelujah, praise God, thank you, jesus.

00:28:11.109 --> 00:28:27.961
So Paul goes into this and he says this that the ministry of death, the law, was written and engraved on stones, but it was glorious, but this glory was passing away.

00:28:27.961 --> 00:28:32.882
Now I want to remind you of what that word passing away means.

00:28:32.882 --> 00:28:35.598
It means to be abolished.

00:28:35.598 --> 00:28:49.578
It means to be idle, inactive, inoperative, deprive of force, cause to cease, pass away, put an end to be done away with.

00:28:49.578 --> 00:28:56.337
Severed from, separated from, discharged from, terminate all intercourse with.

00:28:56.337 --> 00:29:13.000
In other words, when the Bible says that this glory was passing away, it was something that God did to the law that caused the glory to be separated from it when God wasn't present.

00:29:13.430 --> 00:29:16.901
Now I want you to hear something real clearly.

00:29:16.901 --> 00:29:40.838
One of the reasons that God kept His presence among the people of Israel with the fire by night, the cloud by day, with the rock, with the manna, with the quail was so that His glory wouldn't be separated from the people, even though the tablets of the law were separated from His presence.

00:29:40.838 --> 00:29:43.596
Are you hearing what I'm just saying?

00:29:43.596 --> 00:29:45.401
This is real important.

00:29:45.401 --> 00:30:03.298
The tablets were glorious because they had been in the presence of God, but as they came down the mountain, their presence, the glory, was dissipating, the glory was passing away.

00:30:03.298 --> 00:30:07.772
It was separating from God, amen.

00:30:07.772 --> 00:30:20.901
And so God, in His wisdom, kept His presence with the children of Israel so that His glory would be present with them, even though the glory on the stones was not.

00:30:22.270 --> 00:30:33.222
Proof of that was that when Moses came down from the mountain after being with God, after 40 days, his face shone like the sun, amen.

00:30:33.222 --> 00:30:40.952
And then he went up for another 40 days to get a new set of stones, because he broke those Came back down.

00:30:40.952 --> 00:30:42.218
His face was glowing.

00:30:42.218 --> 00:30:44.895
Remember that they had to put a veil over him.

00:30:44.895 --> 00:30:45.498
Remember that.

00:30:45.498 --> 00:30:47.635
But that wasn't the only time.

00:30:47.635 --> 00:31:03.471
Every time he went into the Holy of Holies and met with the Lord and notice this he wasn't the high priest, but he went in and he met with God and he'd come back out and he'd have the same glory.

00:31:03.471 --> 00:31:05.135
Now, why is that?

00:31:05.135 --> 00:31:24.519
Because the fire or the cloud would be directly over the mercy seat, the glory would be over the mercy seat and Moses went into the cloud, into the glory, came out, and as soon as he came out the glory would start fading away.

00:31:24.519 --> 00:31:31.511
It'd start being separated from him because he wasn't in the presence.

00:31:31.531 --> 00:31:34.874
Can anybody hear preachers talking like this?

00:31:34.874 --> 00:31:44.029
All through your Christian experience, I've heard them by the multiplied dozens and hundreds.

00:31:44.029 --> 00:31:58.472
You know, while I was in the presence of the Lord and we just having this great fellowship, and then when I came out, you know, I delivered the word and after I delivered the word, the glory lifted and I'm thinking what kind of God do you serve?

00:31:58.472 --> 00:32:06.171
Is he just coming and going in your life Just because your body gets tired?

00:32:06.171 --> 00:32:08.857
Don't blame that on the glory of the Lord lifting.

00:32:08.857 --> 00:32:31.775
Now there may be a keeping power of God at work in you that is keeping you for the delivery of His Word during that time and when that's finished you may feel I've felt that and I used to think that, but I don't think that anymore Because the Lord taught me differently.

00:32:33.508 --> 00:32:35.136
He said this to me do you think I leave?

00:32:35.136 --> 00:32:40.195
Do you think I just walk out and leave you in this state?

00:32:40.195 --> 00:32:42.530
Why would I do that?

00:32:42.530 --> 00:32:45.613
I'm the one that brought you into it.

00:32:45.613 --> 00:32:49.996
I'm the one that called you into this ministry.

00:32:49.996 --> 00:32:58.316
Why would I speak through you, do miracles through you and demonstrate my glory to you and then just leave you?

00:32:58.316 --> 00:33:01.689
Why would I do that?

00:33:01.689 --> 00:33:03.673
I heard him ask me that question.

00:33:03.673 --> 00:33:06.409
Why would I do that?

00:33:06.409 --> 00:33:11.173
He was begging me to come into a realization that he would not do that.

00:33:11.173 --> 00:33:15.228
Hallelujah.

00:33:15.228 --> 00:33:24.209
Now it may seem like that, but just because it seems like that doesn't make it real, not in the Spirit.

00:33:24.209 --> 00:33:28.733
The only thing that makes things real in the Spirit is what the Spirit says.

00:33:28.733 --> 00:33:31.669
Do you understand what I'm saying?

00:33:33.153 --> 00:33:43.534
You may feel some things like, for example, I told you about that one time that God was doing great miracles Five, six miracles, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, like that.

00:33:43.534 --> 00:33:47.775
I mean some of the strongest stuff I've ever seen in my ministry.

00:33:47.775 --> 00:33:50.692
And I didn't feel a thing.

00:33:50.692 --> 00:33:57.809
I wasn't shouting, I wasn't screaming, I didn't have goosebumps, I wasn't feeling anything.

00:33:57.809 --> 00:34:08.856
So I went home and instead of feeling like, well, I was just out there on my own and God just helped me a little bit, I said, lord, what was that all about?

00:34:08.856 --> 00:34:14.675
And the Lord taught me about levels of glory.

00:34:14.675 --> 00:34:28.536
I wasn't out there by myself, he was with me, he was doing the work, but I was in another level of glory that was kind of free from emotional and physical manifestations.

00:34:31.507 --> 00:34:47.597
Now, when I got back to the room I think that was one night that we never even got to answer the door for the cheeseburgers to come in, you know, I mean we were so tired we fell asleep on the bed in our church clothes.

00:34:47.597 --> 00:34:51.387
But that didn't mean the glory left us.

00:34:51.387 --> 00:35:09.755
That just meant that these bodies had been at such an energy level that they were tired and they were depleted and they needed rest.

00:35:09.755 --> 00:35:12.032
And there's nothing wrong with that.

00:35:12.032 --> 00:35:15.835
I mean, in between miracles, jesus would sleep in the boat.

00:35:15.835 --> 00:35:26.530
I mean, he's going from one level of miracles to another level of miracles and it's raining and pouring down rain and the ship's about to go under and Jesus is asleep.

00:35:26.851 --> 00:35:31.635
Well, why would Jesus be asleep if all hell's breaking loose around him?

00:35:31.635 --> 00:35:36.293
See, and religion will tell you that.

00:35:36.293 --> 00:35:40.054
Well, he was asleep because he wasn't worried.

00:35:40.054 --> 00:35:45.574
Listen, folks, I don't care if you're worried or not.

00:35:45.574 --> 00:35:47.813
If everybody else is bailing, you better bail.

00:35:47.813 --> 00:35:55.813
If everybody's bailing, you better get in there and bail, whether you're worried or not, because water's coming in the boat.

00:35:55.813 --> 00:35:58.992
He was asleep because he was tired.

00:35:58.992 --> 00:36:05.255
Hallelujah, nobody preaches this stuff.

00:36:05.255 --> 00:36:09.215
We'd rather listen to religion's nonsense about how.

00:36:09.585 --> 00:36:31.916
But see, you can't come into this kind of understanding of how God works until you're willing to allow the Spirit to teach you and to teach you the stuff that's between the lines and the stuff that is not immediately obvious, because God is never immediately obvious.

00:36:31.916 --> 00:36:38.632
I don't care how immediately obvious you want to make Him, he is never that way.

00:36:38.632 --> 00:36:44.349
That's the reason you have to seek him and he'll be found.

00:36:44.349 --> 00:36:56.090
But you have to seek him Because he's just kind of around the corner there and you have to go around that corner, or, better said, you have to let the Spirit lead you around that corner to find him.

00:36:56.090 --> 00:36:58.592
If you want to enter in, you have to knock.

00:36:58.592 --> 00:36:59.869
If you want something, you have to let the Spirit lead you around that corner to find Him.

00:36:59.869 --> 00:37:00.561
If you want to enter in, you have to knock.

00:37:00.561 --> 00:37:02.608
If you want something, you have to ask.

00:37:02.608 --> 00:37:08.016
There's a process in God, because he just is not easily found.

00:37:08.016 --> 00:37:18.271
But that's okay, because you want to be stimulated to seek Amen.

00:37:18.271 --> 00:37:24.985
You want that If he gave it all to you, which is what a lot of denominations believe.

00:37:25.005 --> 00:37:32.045
They believe that you get it all as soon as you say yes, but that's not what the Bible teaches.

00:37:32.045 --> 00:37:47.438
The Bible teaches a progressive revelation, a present truth that comes by seeking after the Lord and seeking this living Spirit that gives life, hallelujah.

00:37:47.438 --> 00:37:54.224
So if Moses had glory and he did, it was unmistakable.

00:37:54.224 --> 00:37:56.532
So they had to put a veil over his face.

00:37:57.364 --> 00:38:13.931
Paul asked this question how much more glorious will be this gospel of glory if the law, which was glorious, was being separated away from God and being annulled?

00:38:13.931 --> 00:38:16.608
And Paul said that very thing.

00:38:16.608 --> 00:38:17.972
He said God annulled.

00:38:17.972 --> 00:38:18.896
And Paul said that very thing.

00:38:18.896 --> 00:38:20.240
He said God annulled the law in Jesus.

00:38:20.240 --> 00:38:22.291
He made it of no effect.

00:38:22.291 --> 00:38:31.914
If that's the case, then how is this ministry of the Spirit not so much more glorious?

00:38:31.914 --> 00:38:35.351
And the answer is it is.

00:38:35.351 --> 00:38:38.251
It is infinitely more glorious.

00:38:38.251 --> 00:38:45.896
But the one thing that characterizes it more than anything else is that it does not pass away.

00:38:45.896 --> 00:38:52.096
It does not fade away, it does not go away.

00:38:52.096 --> 00:38:56.311
It is a permanent residence of glory in us.

00:38:56.311 --> 00:39:07.496
This is why Paul said in Colossians 1.27 that Christ in us is the hope of glory.

00:39:07.496 --> 00:39:12.666
It is the earnest expectation that His glory is going to manifest in us.

00:39:12.666 --> 00:39:18.554
You know you ask yourself this question why is that the case?

00:39:18.554 --> 00:39:24.494
Why does this glory have to get in us and manifest it?

00:39:24.494 --> 00:39:26.711
Because this was God's plan from the beginning.

00:39:26.711 --> 00:39:34.409
And this is another place where Revelation has to kick in, to kick religion out.

00:39:34.710 --> 00:39:50.030
Religion teaches you that you were born I've said this before, I want to say it again because I just like the sound of the words but religion teaches you a religious form of evolution.

00:39:50.030 --> 00:39:53.077
What does evolution tell us?

00:39:53.077 --> 00:40:14.177
We come out of the primordial ooze and, by a sequence of freakish accidents, dna molecules were made and they began to form, and over billions of years all this stuff started to happen and finally we end up at the top of the food chain.

00:40:14.177 --> 00:40:15.487
But that's all we are.

00:40:15.487 --> 00:40:20.494
As we're at the top of the food chain, really no more, no less than anything else going on.

00:40:20.494 --> 00:40:36.577
Well, christian religion teaches you that you came out of the primordial ooze of your mother and father's joining together and you're just this cosmic accident.

00:40:36.577 --> 00:40:47.996
And you're just this cosmic accident, this sin, because of what Adam did, looking for somebody to help you.

00:40:47.996 --> 00:40:52.559
And then God, in His mercy, reaches down and helps you, puts somebody in front of you.

00:40:52.559 --> 00:41:00.547
They lead you to Jesus and all of a sudden, everything's great and you're going to heaven.

00:41:00.547 --> 00:41:09.050
By the way, yeah, let's have some marshmallows, and that's what they teach.

00:41:09.050 --> 00:41:17.007
They teach that you're just an accident of birth and God has mercy on you and brings you into his family.

00:41:17.007 --> 00:41:26.793
But nothing could be further from the truth, because the Scriptures are, and this goes back to these places where the Scriptures get difficult and people just skip over it.

00:41:26.793 --> 00:41:31.213
They almost just don't even see them.

00:41:31.213 --> 00:41:43.043
Because I've seen this look on people's face when I tell them for the first time that they are much older than their birth what?

00:41:43.043 --> 00:41:52.559
And then I'll lead them to some scriptures and they're still going what, hallelujah.

00:41:52.559 --> 00:42:04.317
But if you are older, if you go back to the beginning with God, then it had to be the purpose of God to make you a vessel of glory.

00:42:04.317 --> 00:42:11.731
Had to be, because that's what you are, that's what he made you to be.

00:42:11.731 --> 00:42:13.550
But when did he make you that?

00:42:13.550 --> 00:42:21.467
When you came into the world, when you came into this flesh existence through your parents, or did he make you that?

00:42:21.467 --> 00:42:32.445
When he brought you into existence as a spirit and then began to teach you, before you ever became incarnate, about the glory?

00:42:32.445 --> 00:42:35.996
And you got to witness the glory, you were in Him, you got to see it.

00:42:35.996 --> 00:42:37.989
You know all about this stuff.

00:42:37.989 --> 00:42:38.954
You've just forgotten.

00:42:43.528 --> 00:42:48.356
One of the great effects of the sin of Adam was forgetfulness.

00:42:48.356 --> 00:42:51.112
Adam forgot who he was.

00:42:51.112 --> 00:43:09.512
The beginning of Adam's sin was to forget who he was, that he was, that he was the son of God and that, no matter what Eve did because she was made for him, no matter what she did, he had authority over that.

00:43:09.512 --> 00:43:14.498
He just forgot that and in the forgetting he sinned.

00:43:14.498 --> 00:43:17.722
So when we come, there's this forgetting.

00:43:17.722 --> 00:43:27.271
It's not really intentional on God's part, and it's certainly not intentional on our part, because we'd rather not, but it just happens.

00:43:27.271 --> 00:43:39.472
Because when we come in from the spirit world into these flesh bodies, forgetfulness hits us like a ton of bricks, and it's Adam's forgetfulness.

00:43:39.472 --> 00:43:43.893
That's how huge Adam's forgetfulness was.

00:43:43.893 --> 00:43:55.030
To forget who you are and to forget what God has made you to be is one of the great sins of all sins.

00:43:55.030 --> 00:43:56.853
It is the sin of Adam.

00:43:59.057 --> 00:44:02.110
Now notice Jesus.

00:44:02.110 --> 00:44:10.248
Jesus had to be taught by the Holy Ghost who he was.

00:44:10.248 --> 00:44:15.835
Oh, yes, he did, because he didn't know.

00:44:15.835 --> 00:44:17.125
Now see, he was taught.

00:44:17.125 --> 00:44:39.371
He was also taught by Mary, because Mary was taught by angels, and so this divine replication went on, but Mary didn't coach Jesus in the revelation of the Scriptures so that he could literally teach the doctors of Israel when he was at the age of 12.

00:44:39.371 --> 00:44:41.016
Who taught him that stuff?

00:44:41.016 --> 00:44:44.664
I mean, just you know.

00:44:44.664 --> 00:44:48.755
Knock yourself out and go ask the Lord how'd that happen?

00:44:48.755 --> 00:44:52.331
Because there is no explanation for that.

00:44:52.331 --> 00:44:55.902
There is no explanation.

00:44:55.902 --> 00:45:03.329
There wasn't a library of Judaic history and law in Nazareth.

00:45:03.329 --> 00:45:06.282
They probably didn't even have a synagogue.

00:45:06.282 --> 00:45:09.983
They probably had to go down the road to go to a synagogue.

00:45:09.983 --> 00:45:14.449
I mean, we're just talking a handful of families and most of them are just barely making it.

00:45:14.449 --> 00:45:15.494
There wasn't anybody there.

00:45:15.494 --> 00:45:17.963
There wasn't a rabbi there that was going to teach him.

00:45:17.963 --> 00:45:26.898
The Holy Ghost taught him and he didn't forget.

00:45:26.898 --> 00:45:35.121
The thing about Jesus was he never forgot who he was and in that he never committed the sin of Adam.

00:45:36.447 --> 00:45:44.403
Now, I know people are going to disagree with this and I'm sure that there's probably a whole lot more to it that God's going to teach me about that.

00:45:44.403 --> 00:46:00.001
But the one thing I do know is that when we get here we don't know who we are, and only the Spirit of God can teach you that, just the way he taught Jesus.

00:46:00.001 --> 00:46:10.126
Oh hallelujah, praise the Lord, glory to God, thank you, jesus.

00:46:10.126 --> 00:46:13.880
So Paul says this.

00:46:13.880 --> 00:46:16.744
He says that the ministry of condemnation had glory.

00:46:16.744 --> 00:46:22.516
The ministry of righteousness far exceeds much more in glory.

00:46:22.516 --> 00:46:40.505
So what we've got is exceedingly and abundantly greater than anything that Moses had, and it's greater than anything you can get just by reading the letter.

00:46:40.505 --> 00:46:46.164
Now here's the problem.

00:46:46.164 --> 00:46:51.664
The problem was you're going to love this.

00:46:52.226 --> 00:46:55.641
The problem was that the early church didn't have much letter.

00:46:55.641 --> 00:47:05.326
They really most of the, especially the Gentile Christians, didn't have access to the Old Testament.

00:47:05.326 --> 00:47:20.443
Even if they had access to it and they visited a local Jewish synagogue, they wouldn't be able to handle and touch the law, wouldn't have that many copies of the law around where they were at.

00:47:20.443 --> 00:47:26.726
They may be able to get copies of the Greek version of the Old Testament, but not many of them could read.

00:47:29.596 --> 00:47:34.668
The first century church was not a church of the written word.

00:47:34.668 --> 00:47:44.777
I want you to understand that Now.

00:47:44.777 --> 00:47:50.677
It was important because Paul wrote it down and sent it to him so that it could be read in public services by somebody that could read and they could talk about it.

00:47:50.677 --> 00:47:53.445
I'm not saying that the written word is not important.

00:47:53.445 --> 00:47:56.260
I'm just saying that it didn't start with the written word.

00:47:56.260 --> 00:47:59.987
So what did it start with?

00:47:59.987 --> 00:48:13.766
It started with prophets and apostles speaking the word of God from the mouth of God that was in them.

00:48:13.766 --> 00:48:26.226
They didn't have to go out into the desert like a John the Baptist or an Isaiah or somebody like that and wait for the Lord to show up and then all of a sudden speak to them.

00:48:26.226 --> 00:48:28.599
They didn't have to do that.

00:48:28.599 --> 00:48:35.266
God was in them and when they opened their mouth, that God spoke.

00:48:35.266 --> 00:48:46.898
So what we have recorded in the Bible, what is the written part of our Bible, is the apostles speaking.

00:48:46.898 --> 00:48:52.804
You understand that and somebody writing down what they spoke.

00:48:52.804 --> 00:48:59.278
It didn't originate with their writing.

00:48:59.960 --> 00:49:04.206
Paul probably didn't write a half a dozen words of the New Testament.

00:49:04.206 --> 00:49:05.429
He dictated them.

00:49:05.429 --> 00:49:07.940
And so what was he doing?

00:49:07.940 --> 00:49:12.003
What was he doing as the words were being written?

00:49:12.003 --> 00:49:13.427
What was Paul doing?

00:49:13.427 --> 00:49:17.362
Was he getting something from God?

00:49:17.362 --> 00:49:17.985
He goes wait a minute.

00:49:17.985 --> 00:49:23.360
Oh, here it comes, the Lord's saying this no, that didn't happen.

00:49:23.360 --> 00:49:35.596
It didn't have to happen that way, because the Lord was in here and he was talking, and so Paul opened his mouth and he talked what the Lord was saying, and then somebody wrote it down.

00:49:35.596 --> 00:49:42.922
This is how the first century church was.

00:49:42.922 --> 00:50:01.612
It was a spoken word church that then somebody wrote down what was being spoken and they couldn't write fast enough to get all the stuff in, and God was selective about what he wanted to put in.

00:50:01.612 --> 00:50:02.094
Amen.

00:50:02.155 --> 00:50:19.141
But the fact of the matter is that the way the church started was that apostles and prophets and evangelists, teachers and pastors would speak the revealed Word of God as it was spoken out of them by this Jesus that lives in them.

00:50:19.141 --> 00:50:30.007
Now, see, we don't talk like that anymore.

00:50:30.007 --> 00:50:44.081
See, we talk because religion has bound us up in the gifts of the Spirit and says that the only way God can speak is by prophecy, tongues, interpretation and that sort of thing.

00:50:44.081 --> 00:50:51.579
So if God's going to speak, it's got to be one of these thus saith the Lord things or it's got to be a message in tongues with interpretation.

00:50:51.579 --> 00:50:53.425
We've locked in on that.

00:50:53.425 --> 00:51:08.724
There's nothing, there's not a freedom to allow this God to talk and just talk and just talk and just talk.

00:51:08.724 --> 00:51:15.782
There's no freedom to do that, because that's not acceptable.

00:51:18.456 --> 00:51:36.280
Because, listen, if you think the Holy Ghost has to move on you in tongues and interpretation, to bring a word from God, this is just like Moses coming down off the mountain as soon as the message in tongue and the interpretation is over, you're toast.

00:51:36.280 --> 00:51:46.938
You're done for this Sunday, because we can only have two or three of those, so we're not going to have any more and we get so we have.

00:51:46.938 --> 00:51:49.186
So Listen to me very carefully.

00:51:49.186 --> 00:52:04.255
We have so structured that manifestation of speaking in God that God doesn't speak that way anymore, manifestation of speaking in God, that God doesn't speak that way anymore.

00:52:04.255 --> 00:52:06.317
Are you hearing what I'm saying?

00:52:06.317 --> 00:52:06.757
I can't even tell you.

00:52:06.777 --> 00:52:27.467
The last time I was in a meeting where there was an utterance in tongues, with interpretation, and the times that I hear it, it's just, you know well, god didn't need to be that dramatic just to say that you know yay and amen, and I tell you this and with all of you, know that I love you.

00:52:27.467 --> 00:52:32.623
Oh, really, okay, you need to move on three people to get that message in here.

00:52:32.623 --> 00:52:39.925
Give me a break, you know, give me a break.

00:52:39.925 --> 00:52:41.554
You know we're already gone.

00:52:41.554 --> 00:52:47.679
Hallelujah, because men have abused that gift and restricted God to only speaking that way.

00:52:47.679 --> 00:53:01.262
God has shut that door to a very large extent and now speaks in ways that men aren't used to hearing, because the religious word listen.

00:53:01.643 --> 00:53:08.983
In the religious world you can hear those messages in tongues interpretation and prophecy and then the pastor preaches nonsense.

00:53:08.983 --> 00:53:22.809
He preaches his word, he preaches what he read on the internet, he preaches what he got off of the circular that the denomination sends around to help him know what to preach.

00:53:22.809 --> 00:53:45.764
I'm talking about, in some churches where they're allowed to speak in tongues and they do somewhat those pastors get a quarterly bulletin from the central office that tells them what they ought to be preaching every Sunday.

00:53:45.764 --> 00:53:53.726
Well, I mean, if God's not allowed to speak in tongues, you think he's going to speak off of that.

00:53:53.726 --> 00:53:57.360
The Lord gave you this.

00:53:57.360 --> 00:54:00.507
It says people believe that God needs a venue.

00:54:00.507 --> 00:54:02.822
He needs a venue.

00:54:02.822 --> 00:54:29.264
Yeah, you know that we have restricted God from speaking freely through vessels of glory and have regulated Him into these compartments that we have See, and I believe so strongly in the graces of the Spirit in the 12th of 1 Corinthians.

00:54:29.775 --> 00:54:34.547
But I think it's a real problem to compartmentalize them.

00:54:34.547 --> 00:54:41.585
I think you know people say well, I flow in the gift of tongues and interpretation.

00:54:41.585 --> 00:54:46.335
Okay, you know, is that all you can do?

00:54:46.335 --> 00:54:50.476
I mean, are you telling me that that's all God wants to produce in you?

00:54:50.476 --> 00:54:54.817
Now, he may have moments where you know you flow in that.

00:54:54.817 --> 00:54:58.115
But I mean, what happens if somebody sick comes up?

00:54:58.115 --> 00:55:06.226
You got to go find somebody that's got the gifts of healing, because you don't have them and this Holy Ghost that's supposed to dwell in you doesn't manifest that way.

00:55:06.226 --> 00:55:12.742
If somebody comes up, I mean, you know, wait a minute, I go go find somebody else.

00:55:12.742 --> 00:55:14.800
I'm not prayed up for that one.

00:55:15.382 --> 00:55:23.599
You know, these are the graces of the Spirit that he distributes in His body.

00:55:23.599 --> 00:55:37.925
Now, I'm not saying that he doesn't do that selectively, but I am saying this that as you mature in the Lord, you'll find yourself just moving in one gift out of this, because this is just how God wants you to perceive things.

00:55:37.925 --> 00:55:43.125
If we can't operate in all of them, then we can't be transformed by Jesus.

00:55:43.125 --> 00:55:44.168
That's exactly.

00:55:44.168 --> 00:55:47.242
That's pretty radical preaching there.

00:55:47.242 --> 00:55:49.041
Brother, we'll take up an offering for you.

00:55:49.041 --> 00:55:50.719
What would have gone?

00:55:50.719 --> 00:55:52.739
But that is it.

00:55:52.835 --> 00:56:04.905
I mean, you know, jesus wasn't, wasn't insufficient in any of the gifts, or any of the graces for that matter, and if he isn't, then we aren't.

00:56:04.905 --> 00:56:05.726
We shouldn't be.

00:56:05.726 --> 00:56:16.186
We should see them as a way to describe how God is going to cause us to perceive and interact with this world.

00:56:16.186 --> 00:56:17.717
But that there's not.

00:56:17.717 --> 00:56:31.623
I mean, mean I can have knowledge, wisdom, healings, miracles all working at the same time, and that's not because four of the nine gifts are in operation.

00:56:31.623 --> 00:56:34.936
That just means that's how God's moving at that moment.

00:56:34.936 --> 00:56:46.918
You know, I have to be ready for however he wants to move, and the more that this glory is manifested in us.

00:56:46.918 --> 00:56:56.063
It's not a question of being ready for the way he wants to move, it's just being there when he wants to move and extending His arm and doing it.

00:56:58.097 --> 00:57:12.483
This thing is a whole lot more about a cooperation that God has produced in his vessels so that they can manifest his glory, and that's how he decided to be from the very beginning.

00:57:12.483 --> 00:57:15.664
Why should he do this?

00:57:15.664 --> 00:57:19.378
That's the question Paul raises over in verse 7.

00:57:19.378 --> 00:57:36.065
He said but we have this treasure, this glory, in vessels of earth, so that the glory, the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.

00:57:37.311 --> 00:57:45.746
God decided a long time ago that he was going to create this thing called man and he was going to dwell in them.

00:57:45.746 --> 00:57:55.643
And when he dwelled in them, he was going to convert them into vessels of His glory and he was going to manifest His glory in the earth through them.

00:57:55.643 --> 00:57:59.721
That was rule number one.

00:57:59.721 --> 00:58:08.585
Before anything was ever created, god said this is how it's going to be and we're going to build everything around that.

00:58:08.585 --> 00:58:23.755
Now, if you start from there, a whole lot of things make more sense than the ways that we were ever taught, because none of this accidental stuff.

00:58:24.077 --> 00:58:31.286
This is all purpose of God since the beginning, and you don't ever have to apologize for letting the glory out.

00:58:31.286 --> 00:58:35.655
You don't have to back off of it, you don't have to make excuses for it.

00:58:35.655 --> 00:58:37.739
Hey, this is just what God designed me to do.

00:58:37.739 --> 00:58:44.041
Hallelujah, praise the name of the Lord.

00:58:44.041 --> 00:58:52.306
Glory to be to Jesus, hallelujah, hallelujah to God.

00:58:52.306 --> 00:58:59.777
We'll continue on this for a couple more weeks to work through this and bring back these things to remembrance.

00:59:01.260 --> 00:59:04.927
Hallelujah, praise God.

00:59:04.927 --> 00:59:06.864
That's why we're now like Moses.

00:59:06.864 --> 00:59:18.239
Moses and all the other guys had it on them every now and then, but nobody teaches or preaches like that, even yet today.

00:59:18.239 --> 00:59:19.885
I mean, there's people that do.

00:59:19.885 --> 00:59:45.405
I'm not saying I'm the only one, but for the most part, what we teach is an Old Testament version of the New Testament, and that was the deception that was sown into the church in the 2nd and 3rd century by Jewish Kabbalists, by Jewish witch doctors, basically wizards.

00:59:45.405 --> 01:00:11.461
They got in and corrupted the church and turned it into a Jewish form of Christianity and that has been the way that it's been ever since, and we've got to break out of that and come back to this understanding that God has made us to be vessels of glory that does not fade away or pass away.

01:00:11.461 --> 01:00:16.429
Hallelujah, praise the Lord.
